I know many on here think we should destroy Europe but our economy depends on their economy. That's why manipulating the market to increase their diesel costs is going to hurt us domestically, vicariously.
Mexico is one of the largest importers of US diesel. Our economy is VERY tied to Mexico.

I've seen a few guys on geopolitics/economics pods discuss this. They think the paper market is manipulated in a few ways - (1) By algos on a regular basis that pick up on any news that touches on settlements/deals or Hormuz opening and (2) there are targeted dumps on Fridays and Mondays. These guys say Bessent has been intervening like crazy, but I haven't understood that part well.
