This race will be joined in a couple of months. The focus will THEN be on DeSantis and Trump. At that point, it's every man for himself. Until then, Trump made a huge mistake not being Presidential, above the fray, and running against Potatobrain. instead running like an underdog to DeSantis, an undeclared candidate.

If you were calling him BDR just a few months ago, you've got to come up with a reason for why he now sucks. And for the people who are going to take their ball and go home if Trump loses the primary (which I don't think will happen as of right now), they're building excuses for why they won't vote for the clearly more conservative candidate. I suspect that's why you're seeing and will continue to see all these declarations about "never voting for GOPe".

Do you not think any of the following things are cowardly?
-Insinuating that an effective Republican Governor is a traitor and saying that a socialist might very well be a better Governor.
-Saying his supporters shouldn't vote for a Republican nominee for Senate and celebrating when the Democrat won.
-Promising he'd go away and we'd never hear from him again if he didn't get re-elected and then went back on his word.
-Helping to sabotage 2 sitting Republican Senators right before the runoff and embracing 2 lunatics who told GOP voters to not vote, therefore helping the Dems win 2 Senate seats.

When has Trump gone to war with leftists? I'm not talking about Democrats, I'm talking about leftists? Someone in the WH pitched him on a 1619 rebuttal that he signed off on, had absolutely no involvement in and didn't lift a finger to help, and which went nowhere.
It's the reason he put out video messages in Jan/Feb parroting what Ron DeSantis has been saying and doing for 2 years.
If you want to actually go to war with leftist ideology you won't get that with Trump.
