Sounds like he should have cleaned house and drained the swamp like he promised us he would do

Newsome will be very hard to beat.

If we're in a recession for 2 years, then the DEMs are in big trouble.

They were so focused on their TDS and just beating Trump, they ignored the shite storm they would have to deal with post-Covid.

Trump can't win in 2024 unless the Dems put up another retard.

So, the entire dem field, correct?
There is no national dem to run that will not be lampooned with their records, actions and policies since 2015.
All it takes is a non uniparty effort from the RNC.
We can all hold our breath.

I don't know if RDS can beat Trump in a primary (and if he does, Trumpkins will just claim fraud anyway).

But if Trump wins in 2024, 2028 is likely to be a slaughter for the GOP candidate. I just don't see why people are so confident RDS can follow Trump. That hasn't been done since 1988 (and GWB only got 1 term).

*ETA: and GWB didn't have to follow Trump

Ron rand and hawley are my guys going forward.

I think Ron has the best shot.

ETA

I’m still not entirely sold on hawley yet but I’m getting there

Is it too early for Kari Lake to leave governing AZ to her deputy and run?

He would be a fool to. 2024 will Trump final shot if he runs and if DeSantis enters race he can only hurt himself because Trump supporters wouldn’t forgive him. Showing support for Trump will result in all
Of Trumps people voting for him in 2028. Remember DeSantis is not Trump, he is a lawyer and a politician just like all the rest. He’s young enough to wait it out and then walk into office over Cruz or Rubio or any of the others.

Did he really promise this? I forget the specifics. Do you have a link?

Nobody has given an explanation why they think RDS is such a lock in 2028

What, DeSantis saying exactly what I've been saying for the past 6 months (he's not running in 2024)?

They can’t even give a logical reason on why they assume trump can beat the fraud in 2024 that he couldn’t in 2020 yet it’s a given that we have trump in 2024 and Ron in 28 32

It’s asinine

If Trump wins in 2024 get ready for a severe blowback that will benefit the Democrats. It also gives them time to find a good candidate because Newsome is terrible and his record as Governor speaks for itself. Four more years of Trump will give them an excellent chance to to recapture their gains and not even DeSantis could overcome these headwind

If Trump really cares about this country he would bow out and endorse DeSantis.

OK, I was wrong earlier. This is the other way RDS can avoid the hit time would take on his national profile.

vs. losing to Trump and building a Republican base that may turn against him?

Your shortsightedness isn't shared by DeSantis. He knows that he needs to have Trump on his side.

Your TDS is driving to you consider that somebody other than Trump (assuming he runs) can win the nomination in 2024. Accept that it can't happen.
