Cults do weird shite.

Like dance around naked in front of children in parades.

I wonder who does stuff like that...

I agree with him on almost everything he has done. I am leery however on the property tax issue. Agree in principle but city funding is a huge issue.

The state played all the citizens on lottery so I'm not a huge fan of letting them control spending on these issues. Seems like a power grab.

Also wish the state would stop all building and preserve ... every few years we have some drought conditions and it hits home.

I agree with you in principle, however, in his state those rainy days often include winds at 155 MPH.

Give it back.

FL is going to really drop off with Donald's.

I wish DeSantis could run again, he’s a big reason why I live here.

I much prefer Fishback but objectively Donalds was super conservative in Congress and will probably be mostly fine for the state.

But the White guilted boomers get there token, so there's that I guess.

Donalds is getting the nod because MAGA and the big money people lined up behind him.

Without MAGA the race would’ve been wide open and I’m not at all sure Donalds wins the primary because he wasn’t well known relative to other potential candidates.

But all he really has to do is no mess up what DeSantis put in place.

The OP referenced cutting the budget but he did it while improving the quality of services.

My county has exploded in size but you can walk into the DMV and be out within minutes because it’s run by friendly people who operate the place like a chik fil a.

I’ve lived in other thriving states and none of them were close to as efficient from a services or roads perspective as FL.

He isn’t entertaining enough for the American Idol voters. They don’t care about policy.

He actually gets shite done versus just boasting and bragging about what they might do.

Ron is a badass governor and wish there were 50 more like him.

I like Ron a lot and I felt it was the wrong time for him to run. It created a split that we just didn't need. I strongly disagreed with the attacks on him by Trump and his supporters. I am not even sure it helped raise his National exposure for 28? I believe what he has accomplished in Florida has done more to help him than opposing Trump. I could be wrong about my opinion on this, but that is how I see it.

I'm all for him, JD, Rubio running. I like Desantis and JD the most. I am impressed with Rubio's performance as the SOS, but I fear he will morph into an establishment style of governance.

Ron has proven what great policy and backbone can look like for states following similar policy and ideas. Hell of a good person.

I’m really starting to think he needs to be a front runner for President. The biggest issue we have is a bunch of Rep pols that talk all the time but do nothing - he’s not that.

I mean, I'm no DeSantis fan, but it's hard to deny that he is doing great things with the budgeting in Florida.

What?? Ron is an amazing governor. What he’s done with Florida’s elections is amazing. That said, it’s much easier to navigate things in a state, than it is on the national level. Ron doesn’t have to deal with the fickle fricks like Thune or Turtle before him.

I only wish Ron would have waited to run for POTUS in 2028. As is, I’m not sure he gets the momentum back.

It would not have mattered. His first opportunity would have been 2032.

Whomever Trump chooses in 2028 is going to be the nominee, and it was never going to be him no matter what he chose in 2024

Sucks, but that's just national politics. Sometimes the timing doesn't work out
