If Ron withdraws, makes a speech how he was misguided and unprepared for this run and that he will work with Don to prevent Haley or Biden, I guarantee you most of Trump base will probably forgive him and give him another look in 2028.

You would rather Ron stay in and further humiliate himself? You want him to walk John Kaisich Road? You want Ron’s political future to be the key note speaker at the 2028 dnc convention?

Maybe.

The problem Desantis is going to be dealing with is the real possibility Vivek is tapped by Trump to be VP or some other position in Trump's administration and Vivek gets serious traction going into 2028. If Trump's 3rd term is as successful as his first and Vivek is part of the Trump administration I think Vivek leap frogs Desantis by a country mile.

It's not just Vivek.

He's not getting out yet. When that time does finally come, it will be a lukewarm exit...and he won't endorse Trump until he actually gets the nomination.

Desantis is done.

I always wonder who or what and why would continue to contribute funds to a campaign in this particular situation. Or even if it’s that the funds have already been donated and the campaign is simply drawing from donations accounts however that works…..why would the campaign itself want to keep dropping monies into what’s ultimately an obviously fruitless effort, at the end of the day? I’m referring to it that way not in any sense of dismissiveness or negative criticism, but rather plain, pure reality.

Furthermore, in that same vein, if PACs that support Desantis (and/or Haley) are still shoveling out the dough…….wonder why??

Dude is incomprehensible. Every time I watch an interview with him I have no idea what he stands for. Totally not ready for prime time and flaming out in a fashion approaching spectacular. Go back to Florida and govern, Ron, before you end up like Bobby Jindal.

Being a good governor went to his head. Which is a weird flex because most of the people who say he’s the best governor ever can’t name any others.

Which she turned out to not be liked and didn’t help one bit with her endorsement and time spent with Ron. Governors are highly irrelevant.

In any meaningful sense, you don't, FWIW

He's not conservative, traditionalist, Christian, etc. We have nothing in common with them.

For running?

No for being an establishment puppet while running!

He needs to quit now, endorse Trump, go back to Florida and govern conservatively.

When he runs again in 2028, he needs to reject establishment money and lame RINO control.

But most importantly, he needs to find his soul, before he pursues his ambitions again. He needs to determine if he’s establishment, MAGA, or a no-souled pure ambition politician.
