That was easy.

Just swap out "Assertions" from your post and you're essentially there.

Given the poster I am going to guess you assume John Kasich is not a geopolitical genius.

(Remember who you are talking to.)

Assertion 1: Ron is open to supplying Ukraine/Zelensky with weapons as long as the weapons maintain the Russia/Ukraine war within its borders.

Supporting evidence from Ron:

quote:

The U.S. should not provide assistance that could require the deployment of American troops or enable Ukraine to engage in offensive operations beyond its borders.

Assertion 2: Ron is okay with funding Ukraine in the war as long as we have a clear objective to do so.

Supporting evidence from Ron:

quote:

So I think it would behoove them to identify what is the strategic objective that they're trying to achieve, but just saying it's an open-ended blank check, that is not acceptable.

Look you may agree or disagree with Ron's positions on Ukraine. They are what they are. The funny thing is just because I'm calling them out you are assuming I disagree with them. I actually don't. My main concern with those positions at this point in the war is mission creep.

Thank you for confirming that you're simply making some assumptions.

That isn't what I'm doing at all.

See, this is what happens when you fill in gaps as you want things to be.

I'm here highlighting why you're doing it. Whether you agree or disagree with his statements is completely irrelevant to me.

Don't play the game of conflating my assumption about you thinking that I disagree with Ron's positions on Ukraine with you not naming the assumptions you accuse me of in the two assertions.

This is called losing the argument. You can't focus on the two assertions and you focus on everything but that.

I did name them. You confirmed that they were merely assumptions. Your assertions do not match what DeSantis said.

It's a simple diff.

This is called losing the argument.

No, that argument is done. I don't even care if you admit you were wrong or not, because that isn't my main point.

My point is that you're inserting bias into what DeSantis said, and we both know why. You asked "why" you would spin it. The answer is the same as it's been since you were told to go after DeSantis.

All the US would have to do is say, Ukraine will never be part of NATO that could threaten Russia’s sovereignty. Now let’s get a peace deal and Russia get out.

War Over.

So ask yourself, why the frick this isnt happening? Why do we care if Ukraine is part of NATO?

All that is happening now, we’re pissing money away and innocent people are dying. Nobody is trying to stop this shite

Again, you refuse to address Ron's actual statements. Why are you being a hack?

quote:

"They have effectively a blank-check policy with no clear, strategic objective identified, and these things can escalate, and I don't think it's in our interests to be getting into a proxy war with China, getting involved over things like the borderlands or over Crimea," DeSantis said.

You do know that Trump sent weapons to Ukraine, right? I've yet to see your thread on that.
