What's his buyout?
His act is tiresome. He's constantly stuck his nose in LSU's business - Omar....anthem signaling without a clue of context on two occasions, wanting to erect a statue on campus of someone with no ties to LSU just to virtue signal and now sticking his nose in every detail of our coaching hire and athletic administration.
While I may not have a ton of confidence in Woodward to hire the best coach I SURE AS HELL have less confidence in Landry. The guy is so obtuse and blindly arrogant it's pathetic.
He's Huey Long re-incarnated and posing as a conservative.

I was actually the lone student member back in the 90’s, so very familiar with the whole thing. The board generally just rubber-stamps everything, but one call from the governor and they would probably all vote in unison.
A lot of states do it this way. . Landry is just going about it the wrong way.

It goes back to the days of Huey Long. Long wanted full control of the state so he installed various boards and commissions to oversee key areas of government with the members appointed by the governor. That way he had indirect control over the outcomes.
Unfortunately many areas of state government are still run that way.

Of course not - I just don't want Landry as my consulting firm. He's proven to be nearly brain dead as far as situational awareness goes.
