Dems spending money in Ohio senate primary to boost trump-backed candidate

Democrats are meddling in Ohio’s Senate GOP primary at the 11th hour to boost Bernie Moreno, the candidate former President Donald Trump endorsed to face vulnerable Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown.
Duty and Country PAC, a group affiliated with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, is going on air with a TV ad that heavily touts Moreno’s support from Trump and calls him “too conservative for Ohio.” It will begin airing on Thursday and is set to run through Tuesday’s primary.
The group is funded by Senate Majority PAC, the top Democratic outside group focused on Senate races. The apparent goal of the ad is to boost Moreno with GOP voters, and their interference in the race is a sign that they believe he would be the weakest candidate in the general election. Ohio, one of three Democratic-held seats up for election in states Trump won in 2020, is one of the most critical races to the Senate majority.

This tactic worked well for dems in 2022, and unfortunately, gop primary voters played right into their hands

But this is the guy that Trump endorsed. Surely he'll be a big winner in the general.

If the Senate election is in November the Republican will win regardless of which one wins the primary.

Sherrod Brown won in 2018 in an off year election. Trump beat Biden by almost 500,000 votes in Ohio in 2020. This year he might win by 700,000. The MAGA candidate will just ride his coattails.

Sherrod Brown is a beast of a candidate that will outperform Biden (or whoever the Dems run) in Ohio, but I doubt he's enough to overcome that head wind.

Trump is going to win Ohio by about 10 points like he did in 2016 and 2020, if not by more. Trump will carry whoever the GOP candidate is across the finish line.

On the border of PA & Ohio it is now Trump Country. The only thing that worked for the democrats for the Ohio abortion amendment--- was Ronna getting another facelift & spa weekend doing nothing. So the commercial ads were all democrat scare tactics on abortion with no countering.
Lara Trump won't sit on her hands for the democrats like Ronna did.

For someone who acts smart you don’t understand 2022 very well. The GOPe saw 2022 as an opportunity to get rid of Trump and his influence once and for all. The GOP Senate committee did not support the Trump candidates despite them being the Republican candidates. The GOP lost the Senate election and the GOPe blamed Trump despite it being their fault for not providing support.
It almost worked too as Trump’s support cratered at the end of 2022. A couple of months later once the dust settled everyone realized what happened and Trump regained and grew his support.

There is a big difference between midterm elections and presidential elections, especially when Trump is on the ballot.

When a Romney was running the party and sending money to save RINOs and R vs R races in Alaska. This may not be a good strategy this time around ,and may backfire spectacularly.

speaking of Alaska. McConnell bankrolled a new voting system to essentially count until that neverTrumper woman won.
last I saw this voting system is on the ballot is Alaska to continue it or not. many got kickbacks for the voting company and system.

Folks didn’t realize what happened. Trump support rebounded because people rightly saw the legal persecution of Trump as unfair.

Dems have it figured out. They will ride this wave until the party is dead.

Weird, the results say the opposite. Trump has had his way with the party.
This mythology yall created is growing.

So trump will win Ohio but a candidate he endorsed will not. Makes sense to me let’s support the gop candidates trump did not support.

Does it surprise anyone that the Dems want MAGA candidates on every ballot? Kari Lake, MTG, Boebert; they all have done more to legitimize the Dems than anyone in their own party.

Trump will won Ohio by 12 after Biden refused to visit East Palestine after the accident.
Senate will be close though but probably an R victory there
