You can say this until you are blue in the face but they won't listen. I could show a video of Trump saving a kid's life with CPR and they still would not believe it. They are all delusional

Democrats don't need Democrats to agree with their policies, their whole focus is to "Get Trump" and they will turnout to get him no matter what Democrat is running.
Republicans seem demoralized, and we already saw a fairly unimpressive outcome for Republicans in 2022 in what should have been a huge niht for Republicans. Republicans just don't turnout to vote in the Trump-era when Trump is not on the ballot.
The path to Democrats taking the Senate is still unlikely, but it is becoming easier.
Win North Carolina, Maine, and Alaska. Hold on to Georgia, Michigan, and New Hampshire.
That would make it 50-50 and the next Republican seat to take would likely be Ohio - which polls show is even to a very slight Republican lead. I guess Kentucky or Iowa could be in play - but if those are in play then most likely Ohio has moved to the Democrats and Schumer is Majority Leader.
Seems unlikely - but the trend is moving towards Democrats, so it is definitely possible.

Head in the sand, much? Voters did just that in 2016 when they voted in Trump then in 2018 midterms, Dems got voted in.
Bush, Obama and Clinton's parties also had big losses in their midterms

They didnt do any of this under Biden
Its all bullshite
Well, they had open borders so you're wrong on the account.
Second, do you believe Dems would not pack the court if they had the WH and congressional horsepower?
Did you know the House passed the Washington D.C. Admission Act in 2020 and again in 2021? They didn't have the votes in the Senate, or DC would be the 51st state today.
None of it is bullshite.

It didnt take all 3 to do that. Biden alone could open it up

This is a propaganda post designed to demoralize conservatives.
There's a group of conservatives, many on this board, whose entire goal is to demoralize their own side. And then they'll blame others for low turnout.

This reminds me of all the dire predictions before the '24 election!!!
Don't you idiots get tired of being wrong??
It must suck to be wrong so much!
This fact would cause a normal person to reconsider their perspective and source of information, but those with TDS are normal.

Why did Trump lose political capital after 2024 win?
Because the Republicans have decided they're ready to lose. And I'll die on this hill.
The GOP does not like power because it's too hard. They'd prefer to be the party of opposition because going on Fox News to bitch and moan every night is a lot easier.

quote:Goon Thune is as anti-Trump as Chuck Schumer. Whatever the 2026 result, win or lose, Thune single-handedly has cost the GOP 20 seats in the House and at least 2 in the Senate. As bad as McConnell was, Thune is far worse.
His Senate majority leader has defied him on the Filibuster, SAVE Act and playing hard ball on the new AG vote

If republicans loose the senate then it’s on the GOP leadership mostly in the senate and house . The seats the republicans loose also make a difference. I would give up Collins for a none rhino in another state like Georgia.

What are you arguing - that if the Dems had the votes and the WH, they wouldn’t make DC the 51st state because … why?

It’s a slim margin, and there are many morons who will do it

Leaders work to obtain the necessary votes to enact the policies that they were elected to implement. Period. Thune doesn’t want to work and he is a hard no on Trump policies.

Democrats ain’t the problem when are people gonna figure that out

Let me see,
0.5% GDP growth, inflation still above 2%, which is not a good thing, sluggish employment numbers.
Weak Congressional leadership, no congressional legislative agenda besides budgets and reconciliations.
