This is why I don’t believe Trump is implicated in the Epstein files. The Democons would sacrifice their own if it meant taking down Trump with a few sacrificial lambs.

The Democrats didnt block his motion. His motion was automatically denied because he did not follow the proper parliamentary steps.
The request/motion was not agreed upon by the bipartisan floor and committee leadership.
Because he asked for a unanimous consent request:
In the House, a "unanimous consent" request is a procedure to bypass formal motions for non-controversial business, where a member asks for permission to do something, and if no other member objects, the request is granted. To be recognized by the Chair, the request must have been cleared by the majority and minority leadership and the relevant committee. A member can reserve the right to object to inquire about the request without blocking it, or an objection can halt the process.
Then this must happen:
Section 956 of the
House Rules and Manual concerns the Speaker's recognition of members for unanimous-consent requests, stipulating that the Speaker will only grant recognition for bills, resolutions, or other measures if bipartisan floor and committee leadership have indicated no objection. This guideline is a standing procedure recorded in the manual and is also related to the internal revenue code section of the same number, which addresses the "investment of earnings in United States property" by controlled foreign corporations.
He knew good and well what he was doing, he knew it would get automatically blocked so that he could then make this tweet claiming the democrats blocked it.
It's all political theater and we are just along for the ride.
TLDR:
He used a different type of voting mechanism that is used for noncontroversial things that get automatically voted yes by EVERYONE. These types of votes are decided ahead of time by leaders from both parties once they know EVERYONE will vote yes on them. Its used for things like making a minor change in a bill or accepting the minutes. Not whether to release the Epstein files.
He just skipped the part where he talked to the leadership of either party so he could do all this nonsense he is currently doing after the fact for whatever reason.

Let's be honest. If all of this EVER comes out, a ton of elitists will have much trouble. Even if that "trouble" only results in shame and humiliation and a total destruction of their respective reputations.
BUT, I'd be surprised if less than 80-85 of those who were involved in this were Lefties and Democrats. Hence, the reason that Dems don't really want this information to come to light. They could like a ton of big donors.
