If inmates are counted as part of a district’s population, of course they should be able to vote.
Children are also counted are they not? Should they vote?

What’s the rationale behind counting inmates in a district’s population but not allowing them to vote in said district?
Love the downvotes with no actual responses.

There you go.
Finally, Dem lawmakers are initiating the first substantive step toward realizing one more group to make up the long awaited "new proletariat," but a major part of it that Trotsky and Gramsci predicted and salivated over.
As if it was needed, but more evidence that the 1917 bunch never really went away.
People die, but ideas don't.

You want to allow people who rape children to have a say in our nations' Laws....how very NOBLE of you and your fellow Pedo-crats.
You and your fellow Leftists are human garbage.

Sounds like the Democrats want them to have representation without taxation. The complete opposite of our founding principles. It only makes sense when you realize that Democrats hate this country and want it destroyed.

I mean Jebuz Cripes, we've got a Leftist on this thread losing sleep because child predators might not get to vote...

If this is your argument, how do you justify inmates being counted toward a district’s population for congressional districting purposes? Do they deserve congressional representation if they don’t pay taxes?

I have no problem with removing them from a district's population count for electoral purposes.

Why do they need this when candidates like Biden, Fetterman, and other retards get record votes?

While in prison? No. Over time if you’ve become a member of society with out any trouble and found the error in your ways… I see no problem.

Should anyone who has been convicted of any crime be allowed to vote? Does someone who got a DWI deserve to vote the same week s/he got a DWI?
We all know money can pay for lawyers that can get anyone off (OJ) so this just affects poor people.

So a convicted felon should be able to vote in a State election against a State Atty General who put him in prison? Voting is a privilege, not a right. A State legislator who was prominent in getting a harsh drug law passed, a convicted drug dealer should be able to vote against him?

Well this tells everyone which party has the most in prison ?
Imagine the # of votes if all of the democrat criminals were in jail.
Talk about a captive voting block.
Now they will want them locked up.
Get this passed, then shift back to 15 year olds voting.

Yes. What are you afraid of? Or maybe that’s why the US incarcerates (disenfranchises) so many of its citizens.

Very valid point.
Let's let the people who don't abide by the laws, have a say in what those laws are.
