I dipped my toes into options on Tuesday and bought 11/21 $130c for 12.97 and a 1/15/27 160c for $34.21 and had some general questions

If the price rips up tomorrow/next week would you sell the 11/21 or hold through earnings if you expect another rip up after that? Do you look to make a certain % return on options and sell or hold if you think there will be another price pop before expiry? Is that a high premium for the leap or is that about what you can expect for those?

Thanks and thanks to bb88, it, and all other contributors. I am not ot baller but I have tripled my retirement mostly due to this thread
For all the one’s asking about options y’all should check out trading view paper trading. Create an account and start with $100k Monopoly money to trade with. You can make fake trades using real time market data. I just started trying my hand at options there the last week or so. Might be better to learn there than gambling with real dollars, is for me at least

Bumping this thread with some questions.

I've been getting weekly test cypionate and hcg shots from a trt clinic for the past 6 months and want to do it myself now to cut down on costs. Those of you who self dose, where do you get testosterone cypionate? I saw goodrx in this thread but I've never used it before, do you have to have a prescription for test first to get it anywhere?

Also have a general question about other people's experiences on trt. Do you experience any fluctuations in your mood/mental state? Some weeks after I get my shot and feel incredible, but others I can't really tell any difference. Dosage started at 120mg for the first 3 months before increasing to 140mg since. I don't remember exactly what my labs were 3 months ago but total test was mid to high 600s, doing labs again this week so I'll know where I am now. The mental benefits are the main reason I started on this, so the inconsistency is frustrating
Yes. Should scare the shite out of everyone with a brain

Appreciate everyone’s responses. I can do almost everything I want except sleep

About 2 months ago I got back in the gym but have not been pressing it too hard. No squats or conventional deadlifts and careful with weight but I use the trap bar for dl and it’s actually reduced the pain, at least temporarily. Do you have any pain working out or do you just have to be careful with how you move?

Herniated disc experiences?

Anyone here have experiences with a herniated disc? Mainly curious about what your daily pain level is and how you manage it because sleep has been nearly impossible lately

Long story short, I'm 32 and hurt my back before easter, laid off physical activity for a couple weeks, then felt a pop in my lower back the next time at the gym. That was followed by intense pain and sciatica symptoms ever since. Tried chiro briefly, followed by dr and 8 weeks of pt, which brought the pain down to around a constant 3/10. Went to an ortho today who looked at the x-rays and said it looks like a herniated disc based on spacing between the discs, so i scheduled a mri for Wednesday to confirm. I'm hoping like hell I won't need surgery but man i'm going crazy from the pain. it just doesn't stop
Ok so he missed on purpose. Why? What’s your point
I saw an interesting twitter thread a while back about the radicalization of higher education. I wish I could remember whose thread it was and exact details but it was too long ago

But basically it was about a professor in 80s or 90s I think who saw academics teaching classes about radical ideas and said “it’s fine, this is a place of learning and discussing ideas” (or something to that effect) and thought it would be contained to universities. Think classes in the liberal arts about things like gender studies, etc. and the idea was that it was all theoretical and these people would fill an academic role after graduating.

Well fast forward and you have more people going to college and taking these courses than there were positions within universities for these people to fill. So they began spilling over into the real world, not just the academic one, bringing their ideas with them. That’s partially to blame for the radicalization of education in general I think
Ah so do you think he is alone in feeling this way?
Not sure what the other replies say but I just wanted to go ahead and call you a rucking retard for being a fricking retard
Doesn’t count when they talk about “the unvaccinated” though. That is perfectly fine

Basically. The article talks about the asymmetry of it all

Stochastic Terrorism

Are y’all familiar with the term “stochastic terrorism”? I was not until I came across a twitter thread by James Lindsay today (yes I’ve brought his work to this board multiple times before but I think he’s brilliant).

I will post a link to his Twitter thread and the substack article he references at the bottom of this. But stochastic terrorism can be summed up in the pic below (screenshot from a quote in the article):

Lindsay is stating that tRegime is using rhetoric (and drag shows and whatnot) to incite violence against the LGBT community as a means to stop Elon and regain control of twitter and the narrative - and I’m sure other nefarious means.

I think a lot of posters on this board are generally aware that they are using rhetoric to incite violence, but I wasn’t aware there was a term for it. The substack article is a long read, but a good one. It goes into detail about the history of the term and the game the communists play with their rhetoric. It seems to me that this is how they can get away with calling Antifa just an idea - they incite violence through their rhetoric but it is not a clearly defined organization.

Just wanted to bring further enlightenment on this subject to anyone unaware of it.

Here is a link to his thread:

This will probably be unpopular here but I use boneless chicken breasts. Cut them up into fairy large chunks, salt and pepper them, and brown them before throwing it in the pot. Never had an issue with it getting stringy even after a few days.
