Then there shouldn’t be a problem releasing them. It would be much better if Trump made it happen than some Democrat in Congress.

Facts!!! if there were files at one time they have been destroyed by the Biden administration. there is no way they would keep something this nuclear for trump to get his hands on.

The left can pull more and more Republicans into the Epstein “conspiracy” and use it against them.

This I agree with. It's why they didn't do it the previous 4 years.

You realize Epstein was arrested, in custody and died during Trump’s first term? Surely, there were evidences at the time. Either way, it’s both administrations. Not just Biden’s.

Bill hasn't been relevant for at least a decade.
Hillary has been put out to pasture as she couldn't win the big race and is now too old and doesn't seem to have the health to run again.
Chelsea has never been interested in running for office.

The coming of the Obamas eventually supplanted the Clintons in the DNC power ladder. Also, and this is batshit crazy to consider, the Clintons probably aren't fringe enough for the current Democrat center.

Bill Clinton is pretty much a lock for an Epstein list. That helps build the context of my stance that if Trump were on such a list the Dems would fall all over themselves to expose it, even to the point of sacrificing Bill without much hesitation.

The more I think on it, the more I believe there has to be a tie-in with people high up in the MIC or Intel communities being compromised. This is independent of any possibility of Jeffrey being part of an IDF honeypot.

Yeah right, they know exactly what they are doing and you fools fall for it every single time. AOC and other Democrats have tweeted something very similar. I wonder why they are all of a sudden interested in the Epstein scandal?

House GOP blocks Dem maneuver to force release of Epstein files
quote:

House Republicans on Monday night voted against attaching a Democratic amendment to landmark cryptocurrency legislation that would force the Justice Department to release the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Why it matters: It's the outcome Democrats anticipated, and one they plan to gleefully cite as President Trump continues to grapple with the MAGA fallout over the DOJ's handling of the documents.

"The question with Epstein is: Whose side are you on?" Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), the author of the Epstein measure, told Axios ahead of the vote.
"Are you on the side of the rich and powerful, or are you on the side of the people?" he said, promising to introduce the amendment "again and again and again."
What happened: The House Rules Committee, which prepares legislation for votes on the House floor, voted 5 to 6 against attaching Khanna's amendment to a procedural measure related to the GENIUS Act and a defense funding bill.

The measure would have forced Attorney General Pam Bondi to publish all documents related to Epstein on a "publicly accessible website" within 30 days of procedural measure being enacted.
Republicans said the amendment was not pertinent to the GENIUS Act, which would create the first regulatory framework for stablecoins, or the defense funding bill.
Yes, but: In a rare move, Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.) crossed over and voted with the panel's four Democrats in favor of attaching the amendment.

He told Axios earlier on Monday: "The public's been asking for it. I think there are files. All of a sudden not to have files is a little strange, We'll see how it plays out ... I think the president will do the right thing."
Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas), the other right-wing member of the panel who occasionally breaks with his party, did not vote.
What they're saying: "I want to know what the hell is in these files," said Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.), the top Democrat on the Rules Committee, arguing in favor of the resolution.

"This is about trust. Republicans said, 'Trust us. Vote for us and we will release these files.' Well here we are — they're backtracking," McGovern added.
"I think most of us believe what's appropriate will be released when it is time for the president to release it," Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.), the chair of the Rules Committee, said after the vote.
Zoom in: McGovern also tried to ram through Rep. Marc Veasey's (D-Texas) five-page resolution demanding that the administration release the Epstein files and that the FBI release a report on "any delays, suppression or destruction of evidence" related to the files.

Norman voted with Republicans against that measure, arguing that the Rules Committee "isn't the body to do this." It failed in a 4 to 8 vote.
"It will be borne out by the legal authorities and by the public," Norman said. "We're talking about crypto, Jim. We're talking about regulations."

this is just a political move. he added an amendment to it.

it was voted down but he got his headline "GOP votes against releasing epstein files!"

problem with releasing "epstein files" is all the kid porn that is in them. and you want to put it on a public website?

ridiculous

I don't care WHO you are if they are on that list.

I find it laughable that people think all Republicans care for the victims as well.

I want the lists of names and evidence against those who abused and raped children.

I don't want the actual FILES of the raping on a public website. Ro Khanna knew what he was doing. It's dishonest.

No doubt, dishonesty is a plague in Washedupton.

The GOP just voted to block the opening of the list.

There have been 2 scenarios to this all along and this is why no one should've given a shite.

1) The Epstein files are bullshite and they don't contain anything interesting

2) The Epstein files are NOT bullshite, they implicate powerful people, and therefore will NEVER be leaked because those people are too big to be taken down.

This has always been the case and it's why it was stupid to care about.

Sure, and the irony is justice will never be served under the guise of protecting the victims.

Absolutely has been #2 the entire time.

So It was stupid to care about. And those who were stoking the fire so much now have to figure out how to explain themselves to MAGA. Not caring about it now is the ultimate slap on the face to MAGA.

They were either full of shite now or full of shite then…

Don Jr being a prime example
Kash Patel being another
Bongino another
Bondi another (and she added empty binders?)

Edit: the list goes on…

JD Vance joked about releasing it
Alina Habba sounded very serious about it

He thinks Trump is on the list and that there is more to the story than has been revealed. The Democrats want the narrative to be that Bondi didn’t release the Epstein list to cover up Trump’s involvement.
