So remove non lethal tools!
Portland police routinely attack peaceful protestors with brute force. We must disarm these officers, and every other police department in America, of weapons of war, and enact a nationwide ban on tear gas, rubber and plastic bullets, and bean bag rounds. https://t.co/PDZcjhmSLB
— Ed Markey (@SenMarkey) September 14, 2020
Markey, along with Bernie Sanders (of course), introduced legislation back in June “to ban the use of tear gas and rubber bullets by law enforcement.”
The No Tear Gas or Projectiles Act would prohibit federal, state, and local law enforcement officers’ use of tear gas and rubber bullets by banning federal officers’ use of riot control agents and kinetic impact projectiles, and by restricting the allocation of federal funding to state and local entities that do not ban riot control agents and kinetic impact projectiles. The legislation also creates a civil penalty for law enforcement officers who violate the prohibition, as well as establishes a private right of action for their victims. The Chemical Weapons Convention bans the use of riot control agents – including tear gas – in warfare, but U.S. law enforcement can still use them against civilians.

But that leaves them with only guns. Does anyone else see a problem with this proposal?

How do these people get into office being so retarded? I think that is more of a reflection of us than it is of them.

They push a hard bargain, but live rounds it is.

They aren’t going to like it when they start breaking out the big trucks a la Soylent Green.

Single party state.
If you get chosen by the Dem party of Massachusetts you are damn near unbeatable there.

That is just barely above the IQ level of a snowcone thinking.

They aren't stupid. They know exactly what they are doing. They know the police are not using it on peaceful protest, but that is their reasons to the public.
They know this will lead to more violence by police, that protestors will become emboldened everywhere, and they are trying to develop a national police force. This is the end they are trying to obtain.
They want to remove local police forces that run themselves, which in turn will remove power of the state and put more power in the hands of the govt. This is all about removing power from states and getting a national police force.
Stop looking at them as idiots and having a knee-jerk reaction of how stupid it is, but look at their long game. They are not stupid, they know exactly what they want and they are very good at playing the long game.

I'm OK with that just let the police use Real bullets instead of the fake shite.

This is just another paver in liberal progressive avenue to repeal the 2nd Amendment. Never mind that it would only the thugs who would have weapons at that point. It's just like illegal drugs; there will always be a black market for things that people need/want regardless of the law.

They are revolutionaries, bent on power. They don’t mind burning America to ashes to accomplish their goal. They also know you have no idea in hell how to stop them.

Makes sense, they want more people killed by the police. Helps their cause.

Actually I don't

I would agree to his proposal if the bill required ALL state representatives and judges (house senate and judiciary) to be required to serve as front line anti-riot officers with police officers only acting as backup. Let them face their own fricking music.

Republicans better exploit this shite.
But, we know they're too fricking inept/corrupt to do it.
