Conspicuous every day display of the national flag is actually pretty rare, as a rule. Very common to see flags in nations/regions that consider themselves to be oppressed (Ireland, Basque, etc) or in authoritarian dictatorships (China, North Korea, etc).
The US is actually kind of an oddity in our constant "displays of patriotism" considering we're neither subjugated by anyone else nor are we an authoritarian dictatorship. From what I've been told, it actually unnerves foreign tourists who aren't used to it.

If I ever see these two on a flight I will go out of my way to say “awesome American Flag pin you’re wearing”, knowing how upset it would make them to see America complimented.

It’s called a uniform for a reason, dumbasses. If Delta says they don’t want you to wear your AFA pin, then either don’t do it or quit. As a Platinum medallion for the last decade and the husband of a 17-year Delta Flight Attendant, I would like you to please shut the frick up, you pro-union assholes.

In addition to this, I'd have no problem if flight attendants collected and displ flags of all the various countries they've visited or whatever, since Delta operates in the travel space.

Delta FAs have no union. The only unionized work group at Delta is the pilots, and they’re ALPA.

I agree. Republicans that wanted the anthem removed from sports and the pledge of allegiance removed from schools so that commies wouldn't have a reason to protest are weaklings.
Remember the 80s when everyone was patriotic and it was front and center in pop culture? We need a return to that era, but we'll have to get rid of all the limpwristed conservatives who spend their lives trying to be above the fray. All they are doing is cowering to the left.
