What policy did he pass in the first term that you benefitted from?
Trade, immigration, scaling back conflict and treating China as a hostile rival. This is what Trump ran on both times that got him elected. In the first term, he made some inroads on these items. Trade deals were reworked, immigration was largely blocked by neocons, dealing with China actually became a foreign policy issue.
Biggest problem this time is he appears to be falling into the neocon game of war stratego and is sliding more toward the mean on globalism.
And are you really asking how the government taking less money from its citizens helps people? Framed like a true lefty.

What policies passed and signed into law has bettered your life?
Bombing Iran was great.
The other stuff I won’t know until tax time though I am optimistic.
The rest of it has just been pure nonsense and how shall I say? Well the word that comes to mind: “shite”
So for what I was hoping for: Trump gets a solid “B”
Another Republican would have brought us meh. Which is about the same as “shite”. And a Democrat would have brought us worse than “shite”.
Looks like nothing can get us out of debt. Not even, gasp, Trump.

do something for us
Reagan said the most terrifying words in the English language are “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.”
Instead of asking our lawmakers to do something for us, how about asking them to STOP trying to inhibit our liberty, Free Enterprise system, prosperity, independence, and culture as free Americans. Allow us to DO STUFF FOR OURSELVES. Stop robbing us blind with taxes and forced welfare, get out of the way and let small business and competition flourish. Stop propping up companies that FLEECE us, and let us dictate their failure through our purchasing decisions. It is NOT the government’s role to make sure big companies don’t fail… ITS OUR DECISION!!!! The meddling the government has had on our true capitalistic economy has been the single greatest cause of how incredibly expensive it is just to live day-to-day now.
Our government needs to stay in its lane and stay out of our business!!! Defend us and monitor trade… we don’t need its oversight of our families and livelihoods.

You summed it up perfectly.

They sign them into law and we both already know that.

Just go to your local grocery store and look at the prices of just about everything.
Beef prices are certainly high, and will remain high for another 12-18 months d/t mismanagement in the previous administration. Cattle herds were culled at that time. Recovery from culling takes about three years. There is very to be done about beef prices in the interim.
Poultry and pork prices are also up slightly (1.4%).
Prices in many categories are down. Some significantly.
Overall, with beef prices written in, groceries are up about half the rate of inflation (around 1.5%). Anecdotally, my grocery prices are down Y2Y.

quote:Does Trump control the number of H1B's?
He can turn this around real fast. Do a 180 on H1Bs
He has implemented a $100,000 charge on new applications. The $100,000 price tag should go a long way to dissuading blue collar, or mid wage labor importation.
However, he can't exactly deport valid H1B's presently here.
As the concept of H1B's is to fill unfillable positions, it would be nice to see a policy stating that if an equally qualified American was applying for a job, the employer would be disqualified from hiring H1B workers. That might be something Trump could implement unilaterally.
Again though, such a policy would only change things going forward.

No, I didn’t but even if I did things like Beef, Bacon, and Butter were much cheaper despite MAGA’s lies about it. The only thing I was paying more for was eggs. Trump told us he would ‘fix’ all this 10 months ago
