That's been thrown on the table already. Death taxes so high the kids would have to sell the assets just to pay the tax
That shite is coming one day

If y'all are against people benefits or equality, then why are y'all ok with inheritance? The people receiving inheritance did nothing to earn the money. Why not do away with inheritance? Instead of giving to already spoiled over privilege children, why not take this money and put it into programs to help build stronger communities or for education for those who cannot afford it?

I don't see how he gathered his data. And he also has plenty of reasons to push a narrative that anyone can become a millionaire.

The people that earned the money can do whatever the frick they want with it. It's not for the government me give to a bunch of people playing the victim card.

Unlike most on this board, I don't pretend to have all of the answers. I am no economist. I agree with everyone here that the government spends our money recklessly. And those in control are very much compromised, on both sides of the aisle.
But I also live in the 21st century and understand that taxes are necessary.

So my reward for going to college, picking a good degree, putting in work, hours, and effort required to learn my trade and advance in my career including long periods away from my family to get to a point where i finally make a very comfortable salary is to give 70% of it to people that didn’t?

The National Study of Millionaires is a research study conducted by Ramsey Solutions with over 10,000 U.S. millionaires to gain an understanding of personal finance behaviors and attitudes that factored into their financial success. The nationally representative sample was fielded November 17, 2017, to January 31, 2018, using a third-party research panel and our Ramsey Solutions research panel.
Just saw this at the bottom. I don't know many millionaires that would be overly honest on a Dave Ramsey questionnaire asking them how exactly they became wealthy.

And here is your problem. You and everyone on the right see poor people as being lazy or people who are only are looking for handouts which is wrong. You start these people out in life with the same opportunities that you were born into than they would be as successful if not more successful than you are. They difference between them and you is that they would be willing to help others also succeed.

Not all of them, but you're playing the victim card in this thread
My favorite part is you feel more entitled to money someone else earned. That and your jealousy

It echoes the data found by the author of “The Millionaire Next Door.” Stanley found 20% of millionaires inherited anything. Oddly enough, that’s the percentages for the rest of the population inheriting anything.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio spoke not only for himself, but for the Democrat Party in general: "There is plenty of money in this world, and there's plenty of money in this country, it's just in the wrong hands. Democrats have to fix that," he said. De Blasio also embraced a 70 percent tax rate on wealthy people, although he did not define the term "wealthy."
It's like none of these morons are aware of anything that's occurred in the world prior to last week

Blame the parents
Go give those piece of shite parents money every year like you're saying and it isn't going to magically have them value education and decency towards others. That money will be wasted faster than our govt wastes it

Good point. Sometimes the poor aren’t lazy but rather stupid.
Sometimes they’re both.
It’s very rare to have a smart and industrious person be poor.
ETA: sometimes people have poor health, too.
So the big three factors would be actual health (not fake health issues of the indolent), intelligences and industry.
