How can a judge ask someone who is voting not guilty to go back and reconsider?
We have a judge in Baton Rouge that did that.

I thought the president can only pardon federal charges?
True.

Federal pardons issued by the president apply only to federal offenses; they do not apply to state or local offenses or private civil offenses. Federal pardons also do not apply to cases of impeachment. Pardons for state crimes are handled by governors or a state pardon board.

It happens in every case where there is a potential hung jury.
Judges want to exhaust everything for jurors to make a decision because of a variety of reasons

In a sane world this man receives a medal, yet instead his life gets ruined.

Bragg tried to deny Trump his constitutional and civil rights under the false color of law. That's a serious crime. He also tried to interfere and obstruct the Presidential election compounding the significance of his crime.
All of those who engage in persecution through lawfare under the color of law need to go to prison.

We are focked if he isn’t found not guilty. No one will want to step up and help others from mental people.

The manslaughter charge dismissed.
That is a win for the DA's office.

This is a ploy.
Hopefully the same people holding the line on the manslaughter do so for the lesser charges.

How is that a win for the DA?

Clears the way for a conviction on the lesser charges.

They’re just hoping they’ll convict on lesser charges bc if this was a mistrial I doubt it would ever be tried a second time

I have a feeling its a few people holding the line for Neely. I want to believe that the majority think Penny is innocent here.
