Biden drew them to help with prices or either to sell.
Trump is drawing them down at the fastest pace and maybe dry by July 4th.
I can't find if it is being sold on the world market or to settle prices locally. I know its political and to help with prices but i don't like when Dems do it and I don't like it when Trump does it. Especially considering we don't know what is going to happen in Iran.

Its just like every other Government scam. Why it wasn't reloaded while the prices were down I'm not sure. Then again I have no clue about what I'm talking about.

Selling high would actually be smart, Biden started to sell off the reserve when gas prices were $3.40-3.50 in 2021.

I’ve been running a project on this in Claude because this stuff is way out of my wheelhouse. Based on today’s EIA report:
About 30 days to 2023 low of 347 Mb. About 109 days to statutory useful floor (about August 30). 191 days to hard structure floor of 150 Mb.
Again, way out of my wheelhouse so I’d encourage others to nitpick. Any additional data I can get should only make the model better.

Because the Congressional Democrats blocked Trump from filling it while the oil prices were down in 2020. Back then Schumer said it was Trump trying to bail out the oil industry, which was correct, but it was also a smart move economically. Now Schumer is bashing Trump wanting him to take oil out of the SPR.
