It's called the suburbs. I generally avoid social contact with people in downtown DC. Surprisingly my neighborhood has a lot of foreigners who are significantly more conservative than the whacko white people you see on TV.

I have some relatives that grew up in DC. They moved here. They were delusional democrats for a long time there and here. They have "seen the light". They are very MAGA now.

Why do you think they will leave with liberal ideology?

Just tell me (or post a link) that would support your assertion.

Thanks in advance!

I moved to Nashville because I just couldn't take the DC area anymore. When we go home for family gatherings, we have to listen to everyone go on and on with their TDS nonsense.

I am fine with Southerners staying in the South and not moving North. The North is a good place to live and just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not as good as the South.

Southerners stay in the South!
There certainly a bunch of north easterners who've moved down to Florida and N.C. trying to screw them up like they did NY and NJ.

I don’t think I could handle living day in day out around a bunch of liberal fricks. The people I’ve met on campus from out of state blow my fricking mind. Yeah we get pissed at each other over football but the baws on this site are bar none the best people out there. I love America as a whole but damn it seems like the South is slowly becoming the only vestige of real American culture outside of the Plains and some of the Rust Belt.

That is a lot of typing to simply say you love echo chambers and dont like having your views challanged.

I was born in the South and I have also lived in NYC and L.A. and I will take the South over those places any day of the week.

I lived in Tacoma, WA for 11 years... When I moved to Raleigh in 2015 I can’t even describe to you the amount of shite that was just lifted off me.

You are the 20%. The Pacific NW is looney bin HQ. it’s beautiful there, but if you’re denying the overall demographic there you’re kidding yourself.

I'm not denying it. I know what the big cities are full of. I also don't deal with any liberal crap when surrounded by them. It's not always what downtown Portland looks like. Which is an area I completely avoid.

It's more than 20% fyi. Where I live I'm the majority.

have you traveled much ? I am a son of the south. Born in MS raised in TX and reside in LA. With that said i have traveled a lot in the last 10yrs around the US. A lot of liberal states and 99% of my experiences have been great. Now i have not spent time in CA so i can't speak about CA much.

If by "views challenged" you mean screamed at, spit on, car keyed, etc. just for not agreeing with progressive ideology, then sure I guess?

Key is to realise other people dont matter. The things they concern themselves with dont matter. It gets comical here where I live now, they have their marches and protests and whatnot.

Life goes on, money gets made.

You don't get around much. Go to places like upstate NY and their attitudes are almost identical to what you find down South....SoCal has changed a little over the past 30 yrs but Orange County and the Valley is still pretty sane...Fresno is like Texas, cowboys, pickups, country music. Just stay away from Hollywood, Santa Monica, Compton. Bay area....west of bay largely fricked. East towards Sacramento...relatively normal types

I was in a very small town outside Cooperstown about 4 years ago. Farm country.

Those people would be fine on the bayou.

Dude, you're welcome to escape down south to my sanctuary between Fredericksburg and Richmond. Shoot the AR, fish, ride the 4wheeler, drink.

Yeah, it's Virginia, but there ain't no liberals around here.
