To be fair, most proggies like Acosta think there is no such thing as illegal immigration.

Let me say this, there are few people that understand the intricacies of immigration better than Steven Miller. GOP will need 60 votes and my guess is this debate gets shifted to American workers argument. It crosses every ethnic background and unlimited migration undercuts our workers and the unemployed searching for livable wage.

Major points scored and this is an issue Trump can definitely win on.

THAT is why cameras in the press room are stupid. That exchange had to do with ONE thing. Jim Acosta wanting to pontificate.

oh yea

he just said (paraphrased), "When you see Stephen Miller talking about an English requirement" when Miller didn't say that and Acosta interjected that into the PC. that was just Jim Acosta "preaching" b/c he was first up on CNN after the PC

The both came off as condescending pricks, tbh.

Sweet deflection, is he supposed to just stand there and take Acosta saying the bill is racist?

Yeah. I heard it on the radio, and I didn't know who either person was when the exchange started. What was annoying was hearing Acosta go off on some soliloquy while Miller was trying to address the points. Terrible stuff by Acosta.

This bill isn't passing as written. This press conference was theater to give the Trump base something to chew on in light of all the negative news over the past week or two.

Acosta wasn't being a journalist. Instead he was being a liberal commentator trying to advocate illegal immigration.

No, it puts the Dems in a corner. They can say they no longer care about American workers or vote to pass it.

I would absolutely be terrified of this fight if I were the Democrats. This is one of those issues you go bipartisan on because the MO is that Dems don't give a crap about the white working class. I mean, this is a white working class bill that's for American workers already here.

Go ahead and think this is just a base issue.

Let me remind you that Senator Bob Casey is up for Reelection in Pennsylvania and this is what Trump won on.
