Sadly, Spicey would have probably gotten murdered delivering this message.

The 3 people that don't suck

Miller
Tillerson
Gork

They all do an excellent job on TV.

I can't wait to see their reaction when they realize this immigration plan is based on Canadian and Australian immigration policy.

Must speak English, must be skilled, must be financially self sufficient. The horror!

This is a pretty neat encapsulation of what it seems many people here care about: performative acts of in-group signalling instead of substantive policy-making.

Perfectly fine by me.

Miller did an excellent job of keeping his cool while confirming Acosta's biases. Great job. Oh, and the press are idiots.

I would say unbelievable, but it is very believable.

They need to kick Acosta to the back of the room and never call on him.

Why is Acosta coming off as a political advocate instead of a journalist?

i honestly think he may fund opposition to GOP members who fight him

I would donate money to any primary opponent for a GOP legislator who opposed this policy.

This is the most rational policy imaginable. Any opposition has to be based on anti-American bias - or just outright corruption.

it could work but you'd need party-only primaries and possibly closed primaries (b/c DEMs will vote for the establishment GOPers)

Because today's journalists are political advocates would be my guess.

That eas a great put down of Acosta, who should have his press credentials removed. I don't mind him asking questions, but to be argumentative every time he is on camera serves no goid purpise other that to get Jim Acosta air time.

I'm happy to see the Trump admin pivoting back to the issue that won him the GOP primary and the general election.

Polls are misleading that indicate that immigration is not an important issue. Polls always indicate that economy and jobs are number one. And they are. However immigration always ties into jobs and the economy and it it a VERY EASY connection for politicians to make.

What is amazing is how the Democrat Party has allowed the immigration issue to leave the party. Unions (Democrats) were once against the high influx of immigration and thus the Democrat Party was against immigration that was competitive with American workers.

Trump has effectively stolen this issue from the Democrats. It is a winning issue that grows the party.

Corporate shareholders in general won't like it...because it will necessarily increase wages and/or reduce profits or increase prices. However if it puts more Americans back to work and takes Americans off of welfare, that is a trend in the right direction.

This is the right way to raise the minimum wage - make it a ground's up demand rather than a top-down imposition.

I saw a documentary once of a family that was moving to New Zealand. They wouldn't accept immigrants that were overweight. You had to already have a job lined up before you moved. Children had to meet certain education requirements...

Ever since than I've always been frustrated at our open door policies.
