This isn't surprising at all. That age range aren't paying much (if any) taxes yet. They don't feel the effects of Democrat control, and are just getting out of college life, where everything is cotton candy and unicorns, and ideology is king. When they start earning a larger salary and move into higher tax brackets is when people begin to shift more red. Some never do

Frick! And I’d wager a lot of those in that range still live at home and don’t pay for a thing. This economy isn’t affecting them at all.

I’d love to see the 18-24 and 25-29 splits.

I had a talk with my 17 yr old Niece a while back about politics, she said I'm not political, my reply was you better start caring because your life is gonna be affected by politics, believe me know or believe me later it's your choice, choose wisely.

Is there a breakdown of the 18-29 demographic by sex, race, geographic region, urban vs rural, and high school degree vs college degree?
This stat ballparks to 1/3 Republican and 2/3 democrats. We need to know who the 1/3 are so they can get our business and support.
Lastly I would like to know what percent the 18-29 voters are as total percent of voters? If the turnout is high we need to focus on persuading them to see our side. If turnout is low we need to focus elsewhere.

Where did Americans learn history before the last century?

I’m a millennial. My economics teacher in high school admitted to being a communist, and this was in podunk rural Minnesota. I have no idea what high schools across the nation are like now, but I imagine they are exponentially worse.
Literal commies have infiltrated every institution in this country, and you boomers and Gen Xers are more concerned about the Republicans messaging.

It’s what I figured. They are the ones voting on abortion. And also most likely live in a bubble and aren’t worried about things like crime and high gas prices. They still live at home.

I mean, that's not uncommon. Young people are always more liberal, they just came out and voted this time. But yes, Republicans need to do more to reach young people

Rs need to find ways to be less radioactive towards under 30 voters (particularly females). You just can't lose this demo by 30+ points.
Taking more libertarian stances on social issues would be a good start while maintaining the good fight against CRT in schools to please the parents.

Who knew kids were stupid and inexperienced? Those with brains that aren't fully developed vote Dem? Shocker.

What percentage of the electorate were they? Vote split doesn’t tell you anything.

Yep, John Adams was the one who said, "If a person is not a liberal when he is twenty, he has no heart; if he is not a conservative when he is forty, he has no head (brain)."

One thing about this age group. I find the younger people that would likely vote conservative, don’t really care to go vote or get involved in politics. Where the more liberal, are passionate about electing democrats into office.
Then there is the aspect where when they finally grow up, they get red pilled.
I think they don't want to get involved because of the absolute incompetence of Conservatives. Democrats (though evil) say they will do things and do things. If you are a young conservative and surrounded by vocal loons and it seems that there is absolutely no stopping it... you probably will just try to survive and avoid it all together

I thought that was Churchill.

We are fricked from this day forward. Nothing is going to change. Pennsylvania just showed the rest of the nation how messed up things are.
