If that’s real, it’s a bad deal.
What have we gained? They’ve always said they weren’t pursuing a nuke. So it’s the same thing.
They maintain status quo on nukes. They aren’t forced to eliminate anything. Status quo is “we aren’t developing nukes”. No change there.
They get money. They get sanctions relief. That arguably worse than before.
No mention of ending proxies.
What did we achieve other than setting their program back a few years?
Iran can make the case they won strategically. Their Hormuz closure paid off. Even without a functioning military, they didn’t really concede anything.
That’s a huge moral victory. They will be emboldened. Future administrations will see this as a failure and be more apprehensive about reining them in.

The implementation mechanism of this plan, as part of the final agreement, will be formulated within 60 days.

10. The United States undertakes that immediately after the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, and until the date of the lifting of sanctions, the United States Treasury Department will issue waivers for exports of Iranian crude oil, petrochemical products and their derivatives, and all related services, including banking, insurance, transportation, and the like.
11. The United States undertakes that, in light of the progress of negotiations towards a final agreement, frozen or restricted funds and assets of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be released and made fully available. These funds, whether held in the master account or transferred, will be used for any final beneficiary payment determined by the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran
If true hell naw....deal is shite!

Wow. It is a surrender. This doesn’t even rule out Iran charging tolls for ships through the Strait. Point by point this favors Iran. Wow.

This part I’m not buying, I think we will have to fork up some pretty serious cash but I think Trump will hide it by passing it thru via Saudis , Oman, UAE, Jordan.
I don’t think the money transfer will be this blatant . If this is legit, Trump is getting publicly skull fricked by Iran.

The part people are glossing over, IF this is accurate, is that those funds have been frozen for 8 years, by Trump since 2018.
And a lot of those sanctions have been in place 30 years.
So Iran really came out on top here: removed sanctions and released funds. Obama didn't even allow that (he was paying money back to Iran owed to them by a lawsuit in international court and the only way to move those funds, due to sanctions, was cash).

I don't understand why this deal seems to give Iran all the benefits. I thought we destroyed their leadership and military. We won. How can this be the deal? Doesn't make sense. I'm waiting for Trump to confirm.

IDK if the OP is true
but how is this different from unfreezing money to Iran and Afghan, as previous Presidents have done. technically it was never tax payer money, it was their own money that fell under sanctions

Told yall Trump surrendered. This is an absolute embarrassment. Vance should be reassigned to scrubbing toilets and never heard from again. Trump just ruined his legacy. I never again want to hear him down another president. This is right up there, probably worse than Carter and Obama. Horrible.

I don't believe the OP is correct about that being the agreement.
Nope, don't buy it.
Will wait to see what the White House releases as the text.

We were lied to how this conflict was going. I’m not even disappointed at the deal at this point. We didn’t hold the cards. Trump had to cut bait.

Waiting to see how the cult spins this. It's either fake news or the greatest deal ever and we're just too stupid to understand it

100% !!!
Trump bit off more than he could chew and was trying to find a way out. He screwed this up big time. He looks really bad on this one in my opinion.

Whoever believes this is a legitimate documentation of “the deal” is one of two things: a hopelessly brainwashed libtard/libtard-adjacent operative or just a plain old retard…

People treating a bullshite tweet about the same as the Iranian’s fake news reporting. They want to believe the worse possible outcome is possible just because OMB

It's a sad day for America when a war that we started ends with a "memorandum of understanding".

They will still be allowed to have uranium for "peaceful purposes", right?
And you believe them when they say they won't continue to enrich it for the purposes of making a weapon?
