I haven’t watched an NBA game in at least a decade. Rarely watch the NFL, usually then to see Julio, Henry or some other Bama great who is still playing.
If college football teams start putting down a knee in some fake protest which doesn’t have a thing to do with reality I’m sure I will still watch, but some of the luster will definitely be gone.

Id gander that quite a few on this board will skip attending games this season. I will still watch big games on TV though
This is why major sports leagues DGAF about peoples threats. Watching the games on TV is what they want. Asses in the seats don't pay the bills. TV revenues and market shares is where their money comes from.
It honestly makes no sense to say you're not attending games but will watch it one TV.
But to the OPs point yes, the non conservatives are much better (and dedicated) at taking a stand for their causes that conservatives. Most conservatives fold at the first sign on discomfort or upset in their hamster wheel lives.

I have not been to nor watched an NFL, game since the kneeling began.
I could easily do the same for NCAA as well.

I mean, it's hard to boycott when almost every musician, actor, company, and sports league is leaning that way. I can only listen to so much Kid Rock and Ted Nugent and I can only watch so much Last Man Standing.

I haven't purchased a Nike product since 2016 and I have not watched a single second of NBA basketball since the LeBron/China stuff.
It will be extremely difficult for me to give up football.

No one is messing with our tiger.
Maybe a phrase in the fight song.
They are too stupid to realize what War Eagle came from.
SEC Football teams enter the stadium after the National Anthem and the bands leave the field.
Went to Tampa for years to watch the Bucs .....Know what bad football is all about.

My arse will not be going to anymore football games or watching on TV. They should have left politics out. My money will not be used to support terrorist organizations.

I won’t ever boycott my university. But I do all I can to avoid other businesses that support causes I don’t.
^^^ this exactly ^^^
There are MANY places I no longer patronize due to their overt political stances. Starbucks, Smithfield, Jim Beam, Target, Netflix, .... the number is too long to even list ... and truthfully I don't miss any of them
Now I buy from merchants -mostly local- that are smart enough to realize they should focus on delivering a good product & customer experience .... instead of trying to convey their personal politics ...

Most who swear they won't give money...never gave money so it's no loss to the university. Talk is a worthless currency that is everywhere.
Gambling in football fuels viewership and old farts may have quit the NFL but their kids are all over fantasy football and advertisers want the so much more.

Conservatives couldn't even conserve women's restrooms. They're not going to make multi-million dollar entertainment conglomerates fold.

Most everyone here will be watching football and going to games. I have little doubt anything will happen.
This is my second year back in Tennessee and currently live half an hour from Neyland. If Tennessee joins the madness I am out. I can watch Maryville college if I want to attend a game or Maryville and Alcoa highschool games. If those go crazy I can do without football.
I stopped watching MLB in 1994 and lasted 4 years but gave them up for good in 2004. If it’s on I might watch half an inning but I will not go out of my way to watch it. I gave up the PBA a couple years ago when they started allowing 2 hand bowling. And I use to do regional tournaments and thought about getting my card. I gave up the NFL over the kneelers and had just started watching bits of games last year. That’s done now.
TV sitcoms? And most TV? Cut the cable over a year ago and don’t miss it. I watch 2 and a half men with Charlie, 1970s-80s Kung fu movies, MASH, historical documentaries and some random stuff. I don’t drink spite over their LGBQT stuff and ditto for Campbell soups. I will not eat at McDonald’s nor does my family. I refuse to get gas or shop at the Exxon by the house because they use misleading pricing models.
As a 1st generation off the mountain hillbilly I have no issue holding a grudge.
