Yes we are. I love how the Dems are digging up laws that are still on the books, but are hundreds of years old.

Are they going to dig back up old Democrat laws such as a poll tax or literacy tests?

We have a political class that has been conditioned to truly feel they will bear no consequences no matter what they do, domestic or foreign.

They are drunk with their power and extremely dangerous.

The best outcome would be for Russia to issue Letters of Marque on the Bidens, Obamas and every member of the House and Senate for their dumbassery for thinking this is a good idea. I will make a Lowes 5 gallon bucket full of popcorn and enjoy the show.

If anyone wants to chip in, I might take up an offering for Putin to help us out and send a missile to DC.

I also like how one ofthe excuses establishment gives is that those evil rich Russians stole money from the poor Russian people. That's all. There's never any response to how the poor Russian people will be helped.. by us stealing from rich Russians and pouring that money into the Ukraine/Russia war...where the poor Russian people will probably lose loved ones due to our involvement.

If we're gonna steal shite just own up to it. Don't give piss poor excuses..especially excuses that involve the poor Russian people...who are the only victims of our sanctions and boycotts.

I'm not even a fan of the restrictions we have on Cuba and nork. Those fricking regimes are still living like kings. The only ones really affected are the innocent people. What was the goal? To stomp on the nork people so hard that a north Korean Rambo rises up and tears down the entire nork regime?

A recent bill that was introduced would “authorize the President of the United States to issue letters of marque and reprisal for the purpose of seizing the assets of certain Russian citizens.”

They’re finally about to put some of those illegals to work for the good ole USA

If they can seize international assets at will today, they can seize domestic assets tomorrow.

Navalny's supporters identified a $700M yacht with two helipads docked in Italy, photographed its crew as all Russian and all members of the FSO (Russian equivalent of secret service). They yacht is registered to a shell company, but they're claiming it's Putin's. As it's Italy, it's up to the Italians, but I wouldn't mind seeing it become a floating home for Ukrainian refugees.

The year was 1778
How I wish I was in Sherbrook now
When a letter of marque came from the King
For the scummiest vessel I'd ever see
God damn them all
I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold
We'd fire no guns, shed no tears
Now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier
The last of Barrett's Privateers

These people are so stupid. It's like saying I'm suing DJT. Not realizing you'll be deposed and go through discovery.
You don't think of the reaction via the other side.

The whole point of the War on Terror was to socialize Americans to accept a separate legal paradigm for a vague and nebulous term which has no concrete definition. We didn't fight a war against goatherders in the Middle East for nothing. It was done to condition us to accept extrajudicial consequences for the crime of dissent.

All fun and games until Russia does the same. Or Iran or China etc

We have a lot more assets on the open seas then Russia does. Therefore we have a lot more to lose.

I mean can anyone explain the crime these private citizens committed?

They didn’t execute civilians or launch this war.

Am I now personally responsible for Joe Biden’s actions? Are you?

Because at the end of the day this is all predicated on the idea that they are responsible for the actions of an unelected dictator simply by being a Russian citizen.
