This is exactly what they want to happen to drive people farther apart and reduce our ability to care for each other and protect against media paranoid

The best time to announce school closings will be this afternoon. I predict we will see a bunch of states announce it this afternoon, because they wont have to hear shite until Monday and gives parents the weekend to figure it out.

If that happens you can expect a buttload of other state agencies and businesses to at least start allowing telecommuting because the majority of those kids will have no parents at home, no sitters, etc. and the daycares will be packed.

We're putting together something for senior management on how many spare laptops we have for people to use in working from home (they can determine who gets them).
We've already had one agency in our department come to us about taking their desktops home (which we quickly vetoed).

The more mass hysteria that can be created the more opportunity it gives them to bash Trump over whatever failing they can conjure up.

This will happen. My daughter is a senior and her senior class was informed today of the cancel events which my include graduation. The principle also told them today will probably be the last time they walk the halls as a student.

30 days? No fricking chance. He’d be impeached. What the hell are people going to do with kids for a month? It’s not like daycares are open

Considering JBE is Filth, I would expect him to contribute to the panic as much as possible.

If things were as bad as everyone claims, seems like we would have shut down schools weeks ago.

Would have been more believable if they mirrored other places like ISDs around Houston doing 14 days.... but 30? Nah, no chance.

Exactly. 30 days is absurd.

My wife (no pics, so downvote away) is a teacher, and she texted me earlier that this is the word among her coworkers.

If you close all the schools down with 40 cases of Coronavirus, how do you open back up unless you have less than 40 cases statewide?

Closing things down for safety sets a standard.

But for me, sadly, all of mine was lost in a tragic boating accident.
