I’m no scholar, but as I recall the great Socialist revolutions of the last century (Russia and China at the fore) both were accompanied by mass ideological genocide into the hundreds of millions.
But maybe Communists who smile all the time won’t be mean to people who don’t want a tyrannical group of elites running their whole life. Even down to what they think and believe.

With zero accountability so far against the deep state during Trump 1 or 2 it’s impossible to argue otherwise unless you think it’ll be a quiet surrender like they had in Europe (I do not).
