South Louisiana isn't ready to have this conversation yet.... but I agree coke with cane sugar is better.

It can be done. Coca Cola already manufactures sugar cane-based cola syrup for Jewish Passover every year. Coke made with corn syrup is not Kosher. Coke made with cane sugar is Kosher.
So, Coca Cola can indeed make the switch. I think it would sell well. Pepsi already has a "pure cane sugar" variation of Pepsi that sells well.

Let's get something straight.... the Louisiana sugar industry should not freaking exist. Nor should any sugar growing entity in the US.

I know it can be done, but coke is like a drug to people. You don't switch it up when you're dominating in market share.

Not to be offensive but Louisiana cane farmers, including those in new Iberia, can f##k right off. Their entire business should not exist.

It's not a formula change, and most people would probably never notice. It didn't hurt them when they initially switched from sugar to HFCS, so I don't see why switching back would.

A lot of people around here shite on subsidies unless you start talking about catfish, shrimp, etc, then they want the government to step in with protections.

You mean you don't think they could go back to the formula they used before they switched the recipe to use to high fructose corn syrup?
