On the air this afternoon they did report there was disagreement about this leak, and also reported that CIA sources said any assessment was premature and not sure how DIA made it so quickly.
While the linked print article doesn’t address any of this, CNN is fact did report the counter narrative in air, and yes, I was surprised they did.
I’m not sure why my surprise at them attempting to be somewhat fair most you. They normally don’t make any attempt. I guess what is also true is most will read the article, and many fewer people watched.
In any event, I’m not sure even if parts of tier reporting are true it’s that big of a deal given the other rumors coming out of Iran.

The last couple of days have been interesting.
The leftists would rather believe that the US Intelligence agencies and military are all incompetent and failed to succeed in their mission to damage/destroy Iranian nuclear capabilities than consider the possibility that any action Trump took may have had a positive outcome.
Is it really so important that Trump fail that you need the military to fail as well?

Who has been briefed on the intelligence assessment? Have members of Congress? Because it would make sense to me that Congressional staffers would go to the press in order to make Trump look bad. They have consistently done that in the past.

This is all theater and publicity mind games. Iran has long had the enriched uranium and the components to make a nuke. They lacked long range ballistic missiles to hit the US and join into the MAD club but were getting close. One thing is for sure, if Iran or Jihadist Islam hits Israel with nukes those Subs will wreak havoc on prosperous Muslim Nations who didn’t control their dogs.
