Less than a week after the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and an entire day of "never forget", CNN wants you to forget who was flying those planes?

I have ADD and even I think that's a short attention span.

They're doing the 'I for one welcome our new ________ overlords." They have no souls. They just want to keep their cushy places in what they see as an inevitable future.

I think maybe you replied to the wrong person.

While I am not from Michigan, I really sincerely hope that he is NOT falling behind.
But since I don't believe in poll results, and not knowing the locals, all I can do is say I hope not.

No offense, but I thought so much more of you than to make that supremely stupid post.

Primaries are the most powerful electoral tool the electorate has. The politicians know (on both sides) that once you get to the general you'll vote for your team no matter who the candidates are because you can't stand the thought of the opposition winning.

And they are right; you will.

The primaries are the only chance you have to actually hold the candidates accountable because you can vote for whoever you really want without fear of a Democrat winning.

What's bullshite is that 90% of registered voters won't use the most powerful tool they have. THAT'S how you get Darline Graham Norton. Because with only 9% of registered voters voting in the primaries, all you ever get is the candidates with the most name recognition.

Instead they'll say idiotic things like, "Primaries are bullshite," and then cry because they only have "two bad choices to vote for."

No, you had lots more choices than that. Or you would, if you and people like you would get up off the couch on primary day. But you have to use the tool. It ain't going to do it for you.

SC is open primary. THAT'S how we got Darline. I did my part, it didn't matter stacked up against the machine.

I'm salty, forgive me. Again, SC lets anyone vote in the republican primary.

I did.

I voted in the first primary, the special primary, and the runoff of the special primary. I'm plastered in I Voted! stickers.

Good point. I didn't think about open primary states.

The Darline case is an anomaly, though. You aren't usually voting for someone to directly fill a vacant position.

And even with open primaries in a typical cycle, if someone uses a vote to try to sabotage the "other team," that's a vote that they can't use to advance their own candidate.

Also, I think if the percentage of registered voters who voted in the primaries went up to 60% instead of 9.5%, a lot of that would work itself out.

Why does their religion matter if they’re offering solutions to make your lives better? I don’t see many of those coming from republicans right now.

SC is so "red"... democrats are happy to throw their votes.

I'm related to one, is definitely democrat and went Darline in the special primary. Knew the dem vote didn't matter.
