Fairly certain this was all a contract/ funding issue. The states are paid for their federal facilities, one of the requirements for this payment is to house illegals among other issues.
I'm not a lawyer, call it whatever it is. The states broke their contracts.

States dont really have federal facilities. Feds control their facilities. States are often given federal funding to build state facilities.

Folks need to check the time stamps of the judges order, the rabble showing up to demand entrance and the communication to the actual guards manning the post.

I don't think you understand the term "comply." DHS has no authority over states, cities, counties, etc. Of course, there's no obligation for a state to turn over someone in their custody.
You are thinking of what happens when someone is getting released from state custody. They are under no obligation to honor ICE holds. They do have to honor judicial warrants.
Yes, sanctuary jurisdictions are vile. Are they breaking the law? No.

They would have to have a legal obligation to not release them which I do not think they would have. And the fact they have a policy of not honoring any ice detention request is ridiculous and a terrible way to govern ones community.
Although, when they intentionally structure their releases in a manner to avoid releasing a detainee when ice is present at the facility or they do something other than their normal procedures for releasing someone in an attempt to avoid arrest by ice, then they should 100% be investigated and prosecuted for obstruction of justice/interferring with lawful duties of federal law enforcement agency.

By definition, states don't have any "federal facilities." If they are getting paid to house federal detainees....lol...I just realized I was about to take time to explain the law.
Sadly, the majority on the Board hates the law and anybody who understands it. Issues are judged just on a tribal basis.

Who issues the press pass? The state? The White House itself?
Is this something different than the "press credentials" that reporters get from whoever they work for? Because those are just something the news outlet prints out and gives to their reporters.
I'm sure the White House does background checks on potential reporters allowed in the press briefings and they have to apply and there's a (hopefully) extensive vetting that happens, but does clearance of that process make it something like a license?
What "due process" does someone need to have in order to have their classified security clearance revoked? Is it more or less rigorous (or the same) than whatever this judge is saying?
If the same or less, then this little piggy squeals B.S. all the way home.
