My general response to a lot of this environmentalists / population control narrative has been “do your part first, kill yourself.”

Species were going extinct prior to the emergence of man. Should man go extinct, species will continue to go extinct, will they not?

Check out the graph about half way down this article and see if you think the current trend is anything close to natural trends.

I am not sure the muslim population is following these suggestions. Are they not procreating at an alarming rate in all parts of the world to the extent that they will be the majority sooner rather than later. Is it not their plan to become the majority and take over as it is allah's will?

Kudzu and cats would probably extinct the remaining small wildlife. Packs of dogs eliminate larger wildlife. And in 500 years there would be 3 species left on earth.

Most people probably don’t care about loss of biodiversity.
I’m not sure anyone can even articulate how it’s bad - other than to say it’s hard to imagine a healthy and stable biosphere when you’re losing diversity of species at such a high rate.
And if you think our existence requires a healthy biosphere, then you might think this is a problem.

This particular policy position isn't new. It has been out there for decades within the Radical Left.
It's not a joke. It is a real policy position. Who knows how much traction it might gain? It could very well be the platform from which Eco-Terrorists might seek to detonate a Thermonuclear device somewhere in the USA.

Can you imagine the jobs of the last humans? Turning off nuclear reactors, power plants etc. opening the zoo gates and telling all the animals to go live peacefully in the pretty valley. Destroying dams, destroying pesticides, chemicals etc.

Do you think that the increase in the number of species that humans deem extinct in any way corresponds with the increased number of species we have catalogued? We continually discover new species, so can't you logically infer that there would be an increase in the number of species we determine to be extinct?
What is the natural trend of extinction? Is the current trend of extinction that is supposedly due to an increase in human population greater than the Permian or even Devonian Extinction? What exactly is the natural extinction rate that existed before the human population arose?
This is the same faulty logic used by climate change fanatics. Looking at a mere few years of data and concluding it is somehow relevant over the course of eons.

Yep. Does he believe that he can just get every human (except for him and people like him) to line up and be executed 1 to 10 at a time?
Only way a James bond villain can exterminate humans is via spreadable virus, poison or several nukes. All of those options will destroy either the planet or all other species.

The Siberian tiger wouldn't be critically endangered if it weren't for poaching and decrease in their natural habitat. Same goes for other big game species like elephants.
