Exactly everyone melting that was a disaster for GOP is blind. If you had asked anyone 6 months ago that we would be 228-230 in the house they would have been over the moon. If you had asked also in we would be 51 in the Senate most would have been thrilled to take that. This is still on the table and can happen. It seems people just had their expectations way to high but the result is still excellent.

I think everyone got caught in the Red Tsunami talk and we are now back to reality. The DeSantis astroturf is on because he performed very well against a shitty opponent. I don't think DeSantis will run for 24.

no, it has to do with their voter laws. Nothing was fixed in PA since 2020. And, we see the results of that

They still elected a dead man. The national elections have become all about just voting for the team because then they will vote party lines.

If the states would not cede their powers to the Federal Government, the country would be much better off.

Still not understanding the path to victory with so many R's down in their races. What am I missing?

Nothing.

This is the same situation as 2020.

Everyone on here is wishcasting while results are not panning out.

Democrats will fully take the Senate and it’s looking less and less likely as if the Republicans take the House as time goes on.

Abject failure of a midterm that is appearing more like a blue wave than a red trickle.

NYT currently has it at 207-189 with the following races where R's are up (13)

CA 23 R +21 (Obernolte)
MT 1 R +3 (Zinke)
OR 5 R +3 (Chavez-DeRemer)
CA 45 R +10 (Steel)
CA 40 R +18 (Kim)
CA 3 R +3 (Kiley)
AZ 6 R +3 (Ciscomani)
AZ 2 R+7 (Crane)
CA 13 R +0.29 (Duarte)
CA 22 R +8 (Valadao)
CA 27 R +15 (Garcia)
NY 22 R +1.3 (Williams)
MD 6 R +2 (Parrott)

Races where R's are -2 or less (9)
NY 18 D +0.83 (Schmitt)
OR 6 D +1.6 (Erickson)
NM 2 D +0.66 (Harrell)
NV 3 D +1.5 (Becker)
CO 8 D +0.43 (Kirkmeyer)
CA 49 D +2 (Maryott)
CA 47 D +0.91 (Baugh)
AZ 1 D +1.6 (Schweikert)
CO 3 D +0.02 (Boebert)

If the GOP can take 10 of the first list and turn around just 1 of the 2nd, they win. any combo of 11 of these will do it, and that still seems likely to me

None of that will happen, the House is lost.

Good

I would rather the Dems win both houses than basically tie

Let them continue to implement their shitty policies. The dumbass liberals in this country deserve what is coming. And the dumbass suburban moms who care about muh women’s rights are going to be the first to feel the pain. I hope they all have to go to work or get a second job.

It's likely because of the red wave mania. I didn't early vote and my job nearly made it impossible to vote on the 8th at the last minute but I made it happen. I think others would assume their slack would be covered by all the red wave talk and not made the extra effort.

It's not for the love of hacking up living human babies in the womb these twisted minded insane asylum destined sub humans want you to believe.

Officially called races are now at 209.

Races that the Rs have locked up - 9

Races that the Rs lead - 3

Safe bet House of 218

Potential House of 221+ (3 races Rs lead plus some races that could potentially flip to the Rs)
