re: Rank your school's rivals

Posted by Carolina_Tiger on 4/24/24 at 10:07 pm
obviously no school's main rival but my stab at it 1. Bama - I get its not reciprocated on their side as much but still the biggest game of the year for me at least every year 2. Florida - have loved this series and have grown a pretty healthy hate of the gators despite having the upper hand i...
Gators were most likely the better teams UConn's run was more impressive, 12 straight tourney wins by double digits is ridiculous...
hope burns can push him out at least a couple feet farther from the basket, then try to front him when they try to pass into him with one the guards at the top of the key you cant try and block him he'll get every call, so just try and push him out an burns is big enough to where he might be able...
if Louisville doesn't give Kelsey at least three years its not fair to him. its hard to describe in words how terrible the Kenny Payne era was for the cards. I think if he's not at least near the bubble by year 3 Louisville fans can question but I also think hell have them there quicker than that...
If you actually watched this run, it was an all time meltdown by Illinois.
I did watch that run. UConn showed the gulf between them and everyone else. They shot 17 percent from 3 for the game and Illinois still couldn't touch them, that's how good they are. it wasn't like Illinois ...
these are two completely different scenarios Zaga in 21 played a terrible conference schedule while not beating a team in the regular season that got past the 2nd round, didn't play higher than a 5 seed until the championship game, struggled with an 11 seed in the final four and needed a miraculo...
UConn played a power conference champ top 10 team and went on a 30-0 run against Illinois no disrespect meant to Bama they are a great team and have had a great run but UConn is simply too good for that number to be that low...
I think a lot of people issue with her is how wound up she gets when her teammates do something wrong. I get why it happens high stakes and competition brings out the fight in an athlete but being like this legit every time it happens doesn't give her good PR...
serious: dj burns as a lineman in the NFL funny: any o-lineman playing hockey ...
state's in a really good spot against TT since Tech's 7'0 center is injured and probably won't be able to play many minutes if any at all, so Burns should cruise. Oregon got a good matchup with SC and NM with Clemson as well. I have those 3 winning and NM in the sweet 16, Duquesne isn't as talented ...
schools will start dropping sports like flies. You already don't make any money keeping women's field hockey in your department, and now the players can strike and demand x y or z, there's no point. smaller schools might do what St Francis U in Brooklyn did and just drop athletics altogether...
Keatts sucks. state may not be Carolina or duke but they have 2 national titles and the fans will not accept mediocrity like what's been happening under Keatts, 7 years at ncsu with 2 tournament appearances and no wins, plus the worst season in school history back in 21. simply put, thats not good e...
ole miss above Alabama. what a different world sec football is already...
they're not as good as their NET but they're better than that record they just cant win q1 games. whatever 6 seed gets them is gonna be pissed that they have msu...

re: Court rushing

I think here the issue is that wake kids are already on the court before the clock hits 0.0. the duke kid shouldn't have done what he did but I don't think the "what is he doing out there" argument should exist in this case considering the games not over and the students are already on the court...
the state legislature has already got involved. they're proposing giving the UNC system board the power to stop any in state public school from moving conferences. dont know what its like up in VA but thats what's happening here [link=(https://www.wralsportsfan.com/unc-system-president-board-cou...
Florida should be a tier up, NC State in Tier 5 with two nattys and a good number of ACC titles is low even though they've been pretty mediocre since the 90s. could see an argument for LSU tier 4 with 4 final fours, most of the other SEC spots are pretty good though...

re: LSUs Net went from 88 to 85.

NET will not be good enough even if we win out. too many Q4 games and it takes margin of victory into consideration and we haven't been blowing teams out and do have some larger losses. Focus on beating everyone in front of you. An LSU team from a good SEC with 20+ wins will have a chance, the bubbl...
beating a flawed Purdue team and having success as an interim coach usually doesn't work out that well. same with basing success off a march madness run. look at the horns...
to be fair Louisiana kids are similar in that they want to play for LSU and are usually pretty hard to pull out of LA I'll hold no grudge against a kid that wants to play for his local team as opposed to going elsewhere...
