Well in the federal system we have, states don't have to agree with fed policy and participate in specific fed policies.
Remember states' rights?
A difference of political opinion does not warrant or excuse the overt shunning of the law, which is what federal agents are currently attempting to enforce in California.
And you didn’t answer my question. Why would the city of Glendale not want to assist law enforcement with holding criminals accountable?

Better question might be how do you not already know this?

I'm hoping the Feds move in and shoot all the protesting fools. California is a crap hole with a bunch of dirty illegals that need to be thrown out.
So that's where my mind is at.

Translation: Glendale is full of illegals and the public officials who run the city are scared shitless of the radicals rioting over ICE raids.

In what way is ending a contract with fedgov "shunning of the law"?

I'm not a citizen of Glendale. I couldn't tell you. Sounds like the typical tribalism you see on this board that I don't support here, either.

They obviously don't perceive the immigration issue in the same way you do.

It’s been a slow, authorized, foreign invasion.
The warnings were clear … and completely ignored.
None of this should be a surprise. It’s the natural consequence of unchecked illegal immigration and virtually open, porous borders.

“Issue?!” They’re BREAKING THE LAW.

It's not that. This decision doesn't deal with judges.

All they're doing is ending a contract with the federal government.
So they're ending a fed contract without the judiciary's involvement?
Jesus, you're better at chasing ambulances

California is a house of cards. Look at that brilliant Medi-Cal they have
their open arms to illegals has really made that program a home run!

California's GDP is due to its being a part of the USA.
Let them loose, then let's count their GDP.
How some of y'all don't consider this, I'll never understand.

Fine - declare them to be in rebellion - treat them like the CSA - defeat them and impose a half century of "reconstruction" on them. And then an eternity of "consent decrees" on how they must conduct their local affairs.
I'm fed up with all this insanity

Refusing to provide support and assistance to federal law enforcement officers, as well as standing g down local police forces in the face of overt violence and property destruction is very clearly shunning the law.
SFP, sometimes your arguments are reasonable, even when I disagree with your premise. But you’re way off base here.

Since California seems to want as many Illegal Immigrants as possible why doesn't Trump just round them all up and send them to California? Same with the homeless as California seems to want as many of those as well.

Why does everything have to be so dramatic and emotional with y'all?

Where in OP is there evidence of this?

Because I'm not adding stuff to the OP to make an argument?

So are they going to allow state game wardens to cite hunters for violating federal migratory bird laws?

Any republican with the means to leave California needs to get out now. Let that festering arse boil slowly die.
