Democrats always pushing the envelope. Meddling in affairs, so to speak. I pray this botch returns new rules that require a noose or gunfire to future executions.

Regardless, Pike will soon run on the Democratic ticket for US Senator from Colorado and win in a landslide!!

If she's conscious she's okay to be executed

Please justify the logic of this assertion. She overcame the application of the death penalty, as applied in Tennessee. Wouldn't a second such attempt violate the double jeopardy clause?

How do you frick up an execution?

This had to be a psy-op to eradicate the death penalty.

How does that make sense to you? Double jeopardy applies to the charge of a crime. Not the sentence resultant of the trial.

My question to you, is why do you believe she deserves clemency?

You think the objection is about "bodies of women"? Seriously, go to church. You need help.

As the tens of millions of people who follow me on X know (actually my mom and like fiddy fake accounts)-I have been making the argument for the morality of capital punishment.

However-I would say-that for capital punishment to maintain moral legitimacy-the condemned must have an understanding of what capital punishment is, be aware of their own crimes, and understand why and how the sentence is to be carried out. There is no appetite to execute people who cannot demonstrate moral culpability in some meaningful way. So her play now-is to never fully recover.

How often is that applied towards men? You may hold the same stance for men as well, but society and WOMEN mostly do not. Men are rarely given the leniency that women appear to be given.

Whether it's Clancy or Pike, there is a growing call by other women that brutal murder of innocent people is excusable because "mental illness". That same standard is absolutely NOT applied towards men. If we are to adopt this new standard, then a strong argument can be made that women's rights should be severely curtailed, as "mental illness" removes their capacity for accountability of their own actions.

She was sentenced to die. She's not dead yet. Therefore, her sentence hasn't been carried out.

For those suffering from mental impairment, this is the crime Pike is guilty of:

quote:

On January 12, 1995, Christa Pike, her boyfriend Tadaryl Shipp, and Shadolla Peterson lured fellow Job Corps student Colleen Slemmer to an isolated area near the University of Tennessee campus. Slemmer was told they wanted to make peace and offered her cannabis. Peterson acted as lookout while Pike and Shipp attacked Slemmer, beating and cutting her. The attack lasted about 30 minutes; they carved a pentagram into her chest, and Pike struck her head with a piece of asphalt, causing fatal brain injuries. Pike later had a fragment of Slemmer’s skull in her jacket.

Lmao. The faux morality. “How dare you notice her skin! She killed someone in 1995!”

You’re acting like I’m trying to canonize the woman.
