Probably to keep NK refugees from overrunning the border.

@IntelCrab
Businesses operating in #SouthKorea have begun to "check their assets and personnel withdrawal plans in Korea in case of emergency."
@Chosun also went on to say that "US strategic materials are being transported from the mainland to the #Korean peninsula."

I cant think of more of a nightmare for the NK military: you have to face the US in the air, and then possibly the Chinese army. Not fun.

You can count on the Navy lobbing some rounds as well.

Fact is Chinese media did run those stories
State run media ran both those stories that are on completely different ends of the spectrum
So who is lying? Someone is lying.

So you're thinking the chinese troops are going to join up with the n korean troops at the border and then walk across the Pacific Ocean and invade California?
No. They are positioning troops to quickly support NK.
I can't even...

Is there some reason y'all think that China has our back and not NK's?
Posted on 4/10/17 at 4:48 pm to Scruffy
The only scenario this makes sense is they believe NK is close to a meaningful nuclear weapons program and they do not want the addtl US presence in the region that would justifiably entail.

If China doesn't want Nukes in S. Korea they had better do something about Fat Boy.

China and DPRK are preparing to invade South Korea.
They wouldn't do this. It would instantly start WW3 in east Asia

I think this news is bollocks. No credible sources.
Need Reuters or AP

Maybe they aren't there to attack N. Korea but to defend North Korea or more likely secure a chunk of North Korea if the USA attacks.
China props up North Korea because it serves as a buffer between South Korea (USA influence) and China. I am pretty damn sure whatever happens in Korea, that China would want to secure a buffer zone.
Maybe we will have South Korea, North North Korea and South North Korea in the future.

That's the problem with state run media. They try to have it both ways.
Sort of like American democrats.

N Korea needs China to come in quick in order to hold onto gains or minimize loses. China isn't there to help us or allow millions of North Koreans into China. The Korean Peninsula is an incredibly strategic position in the S. Sea.
