Carbon black is a product that is used in everyday applications for manufacturing and is often a useable byproduct.

China
~6.26 million tons
44%

United States
~1.41 million
~10%

India
~1.18 million
~8%

Russia
~0.92 million
~7%

South Korea
~0.62 million
~4%

Japan
~0.55 million
~4%
All other counties combined do not equal their carbon.

Also china is a great world economist since they want Europe/Usa/Australia to adhere to carbon output guidelines and pay for the worlds carbon credits.

Our sierra club socialists do understand this.

They know that companies and countries want to offset their carbon footprint and ACTUALLY pay for it. But it would not make a dent in china’s pollution.

They actually bury charred trees in the dirt to make sure that carbon never makes in to the atmosphere. I was beside myself when I heard this.

China accounts for about 32% of the world’s fossil CO2 emissions

The latest Global Carbon Budget estimates put China’s 2024 fossil CO2 emissions at about 12.3 billion metric tons, versus roughly 38 billion tons worldwide. That’s approximately one-third of the world’s fossil CO2 output

It’s all about control. The western gvts are using “safety” and “climate change” to give China the advantages so that they can destroy America. This will allow them to rebuild it how the see fit. None of this crap is true or as bad as they claim.

China is the biggest consumer of fossil fuel energy in the world despite being one of the most invested in solar, hydro, wind, and nuclear.

It's [energy] hungry business being the largest manufacturing country in the world.

The whole carbon credit thing has always been a wealth redistribution scheme. Nothing more.

I'm all for true scientific findings as indisputable fact and then finding the true offenders and putting them in prison. No fines, no cancelling. Hard prison time.

If China shits in everyone's food and water (manner of speaking) and it can be proven that what they're doing is factually harmful to the world and then doesn't do their part to provably clean it up, then regime change is in order. And everyone must help with that, otherwise, you're not serious about environmental concerns.

It has to have real teeth, not a wealth redistribution scheme.

I worked with carbon black for a year at a testing laboratory in Mo nroe. A few very intelligent people worked there, but most were idiots. I think half the carbon black tested there ended up in the worker's lungs because they were too macho to wear masks. Nasty, chemical laden crap.

There was a large fire behind the Sterlington ammonia plant years back. The carbon black company that was also there had been dumping carbon black on the back of their property for decades. Well, someone camped out in the woods next to it and lost control of his campfire. The fire spread to the carbon fire dump, maybe a hundred acres. It took over a month to put it out, they had to pump water in from the Ouachita River to put it out. Huge black, fire spitting tornados (mostly stationary) came out of the fire. Spectactular! My professor took pictures, but left his lens cap on the entire time. Sight I will never forget.

The only thing between the globalists and complete control of the world is the American right.

Carbon credits and offsets are a joke. Lots of proof that these are mostly just a financial magic trick to allow large corporations to keep on doing what they’re doing but play a shell game on their environmental impact.

Importantly this is a game only the largest corporations can really play, so it is a barrier to entry for everyone else.

The left and woke in the UK, said last week due to their energy costs being out of whack, said they would "PAUSE" their 2030 zero carbon policies.

Just pause...hahaha

" According to data cited by the Financial Times, China is set to commission as many as 85 coal-fired power generating units this year, out of a total global of 104 coal projects slated for start-up in 2026.

The data from the non-profit Global Energy Monitor shows that of all the 63 gigawatts (GW) of coal-fired power generation expected to begin commercial operations globally this year, 55 GW will be in China. "

BURN BABY BURN is all THE COMMIES care about

This sounds like my career in photography. Now, with the phone cameras, I take videos by stopping it when I intend to start and starting it when I intend to stop.

We have a carbon black plant in Ponca City, OK. I have to visit a couple of times each year for my job. The first time I went I had no idea and it literally ruined my clothes, shoes. That powder is so fine it gets into every thread of your clothes. I was finding it all over my house a week later. Now I wear old jeans, shitty pair of shoes. I basically dispose of it when I’m done

Until Russia, India and China do something about their pollution, the greenies can go frick themselves with trying to over regulate the US.

Not sure what your point is in this post. US burns the precursor material for fuel just to get rid of it. It is a byproduct of oil refining called petroleum coke and the plant I used to work at burned about 1600 tpd for power generaton.

The US has excess carbon black capacity...

And we pay them to dispose of our trash and they dump it in the ocean instead of disposing of it correctly per the terms of the contract.
