re: China produces 44% of the world’s carbon black.

I've heard people make the argument that a lot of China's output is the result of companies offshoring manufacturing to them. Were ~50% of those jobs onshored back to their home countries, best guesses indicate it would drop their CO2 emissions by only ~7%-10%.
For 2024, China's total CO2 emissions were ~13,124 tonnes. 10% of that is ~1,312 tonnes, leaving them putting out 11,812 tonnes.
The total for the EU was 2,462 tonnes.
The total for the US was 4,618 tonnes.
The total for both was 7,080 tonnes.
Adding the theoretical change from China (1,312 tonnes) would be 8, 392 tonnes. This means that even if half of the manufacturing offshored to China were to be removed, they would still be putting out more CO2 than the US and EU combined.
All of this is to say that anyone complaining about global warming/climate change and not directing those complaints completely at China is either ignorant or a full-of-shite grifter doing nothing more than virtue signaling. With such a vast difference in emissions, there are no other legitimate options.

Never worked in a coker unit, but walked through a couple. I have never touched anuthing, just stayed on the walkway. Always came out with black on my clothes, hands, shoes and even face.

My only counter is not from some climate change angle but instead conservation in general. Land is finite but sometimes we must do things that damages it to extract important material out of it. However, I do think it is a good function of the state to enforce the restoration - within reason - of lands after its been fully exploited.
The idea that we should rape and destroy our lands because other nations won't do the same is shortsighted. Let them choke on themselves, we should take the bounty God gave us on this continent and cherish it.

Carbon black is almost entirely a waste product, China produces a ton of waste in its own right but also accepts and processes waste from countries playing the stupid climate-change game. Mountains of waste tires are pyrolized into petroleum and carbon black in China, India, and many 3rd-world shitholes...creating the polution the US and Europe are expected to pay for and the low-IQ Left just goes right along with it.

My dad worked for a lignite mine in Louisiana that fully reclaimed the land it dug up, restoring it to conditions equal to or better than it was before. The eco-loons in this country refuse to acknowledge that fact though.
