Party name is irrelevant. Lazy argument. The states and ancestors of republicans today largely voted for democrats then. It’s why southerners (and people in this board) defend the confederacy, statues of literal traitors, and white nationalism.

Go look at what Governors Faubus, Barnett, Wallace, etc were saying in the late 50s into the 60s with what Governors Walz, Newsom, Mills, etc are saying today regarding federal enforcement of law within their states. They are identical.

Just keep telling yourself this, maybe someday it will come true. Weak-minded sheep.

Like I said. Who’s fighting for imported cheap labor again?
Also, weird how Trump won more Union states than confederate ones.

Ok liar.
Anyway, here is one of my favorite stories about this lie that went over like a turd at work.
I mentioned in a 4Commies thread I have a friend from China that came to america and became a citizen. This was 10 years ago. She was appalled at the fact that people like you still exist and are actively trying to destroy the foundation of the country.
So when she was studying the political parties, she would openly talk about what she was learning at work. We had a very smug progressive in the office that would scoff any time she discussed real, actual history. So, she asked openly, "why do black americans support the party that enslaved them 200 years ago. What happened?"
So the smug progressive stated this lie. No one else in the office touched this subject bc she didn't realize that normal americans could get fired for opposing progressive lies. We backed off. We would discuss other items with her like the constituion, BOR, etc, but kept it all very literal.
Anyway, as soon as he threw out this lie to her, she asked him "when did they republicans become democrats and vice versa". So he stated it took a couple of decades and they all changed. So, she gets on her phone (keep in mind this is 2015ish) and she asks "Did you vote for Al Gore in 2000?".
Yes, of course.
Al Gore's dad voted for Segregation. Al Gore ran as a Democrat. Why didn't Al Gore nor his dad change parties?
She asked it genuinely too. It wasn't laid out as a gotcha. She really was confused and that made the question 1billion times better.
He had no response, he started to say the same thing and just stopped. The rest of us laughed and walked off.
So yeah, good luck with that lie with normal thinking people.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson says it’s clear Republicans never accepted the results of the Civil War and want a Rematch ???????
Wait... wasn't Abraham Lincoln a Republican?? (rhetorical question)

In a Yat accent, channeling my father:

Oh look, another liar.
One of my favorite memories of the Obama administration is when your hero, Robert Byrd, died. His funeral was full of Democrats. Hillary even said he was her mentor.
Keep lying, it is literally all you have.

Republicans back then were for profits and corporations, the power of the federal government and military industrial complex. Democrats were for cheap labor and culture war. Not much has changed.

And blacks like Johnson never left the plantation.

The south started voting more republican because less farming and more business. This was post 90s.
These same racist white nationalists you talk about put Bill Clinton in office.

Democrats haven't changed.
A slave in chains has nothing to lose and will meet you with violence. But give them a shack and a little food and you now own them forever because now they have something to lose.
That's what LBJ did.

I hate to flaunt or throw this term around, but he appears to be clinically mentally retarded.

This couldn't be more true. In fact they never gave up slavery. The modern generational welfare game is nothing more than the evolution of slavery.

Let me see if I'm tracking. The Union Republicans, the party of Abraham Lincoln, did not accept he outcome of the Civil War? This guy is beyond ignorant and not a single person asks him to explain himself. Like "What do you mean by that? You do understand the South were Democrats right?"

What would one believe politically today to be “aligned” with Jefferson Davis?
