Name a couple of liberal positions Trump has taken since he has been in office.

Paid maternity leave
Pro gay rights
Protectionist economic policies
Pro immigration reform

Those were all considered liberal positions all of 20 years ago. In terms of labor, Trump is what most democrats used to be.

honest conversation

This would be nice, but it is a concept that is virtually non-existent on the left. In short, they have spun a web of lies and actual honesty would unravel their efforts.

Besides, what does the term "moderate" actually mean anymore. The progressive liberal agenda has gone so far to the left that in their collective mind, JFK would be deemed conservative, Reagan is a Nazi, Trump is Satan, and Stalin is simply a misunderstood moderate.

he has indicated that he will sign a marijuana legalization/decriminalization bill

he is pushing for infrastructure spending

he signed the omnibus bill

he has reduced our overseas military presence to their lowest levels since before WWII

he has also used our military less than ANY president in many many decades

he has expanded aid to farmers

remember when staying out of wars and helping farmers in the heartland were liberal issues? I remember...

See, that seems to lead to shutdown of actual discussion because it is "Us" vs "Them" mentality takes over and we all lose. I knew "The Donald" years ago and he never stuck me as having any interest in anything that did not benefit him directly or indirectly. I really don't think he is a true believer of either party but I do believe he wants an American monarchy based more on wealth and less on public works.

If I wanted a ruler, the far right seems headed that way.
If I wanted a mob, the far left seems headed that way.

Capitalism without a human element and we are headed back to robber barons.
Social equality without struggle and individual success means the hive mentality of Reds

Moderate is not the absence of backbone but the ability to protect freedom from either extreme to take it by degrees. A true moderate should want individual success but a similar success for the overall community where the individual actually lives and works.

So two wrongs make a right? That’s the thing with you. You are always demanding (whining if we’re honest) others engage in civil convo with you but you are one of the bigger shite slinging posters on this board.

Christ man that’s not at all what people mean by saying they don’t care about social issues.

You don't realize you are forced to pay for that stuff ?

Why would they say they are a Fiscal Conservative when it's obvious they aren't ?

If you are Fiscal Conservative you are conservative on all things involving money.

Heritage foundation disagrees with you though I can’t vouch for their conservative credentials. Just always hear them touted as the gold standard.

He keeps signing massive spending bills with foreign aid and Planned Parenthood funding in them , just like a Liberal would.

That was easy !

Of the group Stalin was certainly the most ruthless and pretty sure nobody with even a sub par IQ would think him a misunderstood moderate.

I always liked Goldwater, Ford, and Dole but none of them could win the Republican voters enough to actually affect a better America.

Moderation in pursuit of justice is no virtue. Extremism in defense of Liberty is no vice.

Leftists have no use for American traditions, principles, ideals and Institutions. Start with the 1st Amendment, move on to the 2nd Amendment and go from there-Leftists would replace them tomorrow if we stood down.

All The Right seeks is to CONSERVE these traditions, principles, ideals and Institutions. That is the opposite of “ dangerous “. That is our duty as citizens. To protect our birthright and conserve it for future generations. You should get off the fence of simple minded moral relativism , and join us.

Obamacare was the most Republican Healthcare Bill this nation has ever seen. Libs couldn’t even get a public option.

He offered amnesty to 2M people
He’s expressed willingness to legalize marijuana
He wants to spend a fortune on infrastructure

Trump is a pretty fungible politician. He gets nervous about his base’s reaction to things but he obviously is open to dealing.

I’m very moderate. Extremely liberal on social issues and fiscally conservative.

The left has lost it to a bunch of socialist loons.

I guess I am a moderate. I believe in an amicable split of the nation over civil war.

Seriously though, where the hell is this far right I keep hearing about? I don't think their numbers are significantly greater than they have ever been.

Furthermore, whatever exists of "the far right" has no power or influence. None.

The Far Left is more dangerous to the country, but regardless I find myself to be a moderate.

To me, it’s just too often that moderates are really just scared to have a position on anything.

Or I agree with the Left on some issues and the Right on others. It just means I have a fricking brain and don't blindly follow one side and demonize the other.
