I have far fewer issues with the far right than the far left, yet I consider myself a moderate.

I’m to the left and will absolutely have a conversation with you. I will say I disagree that emotions have no place. Humans are inherently emotional beings. That’s not to say that emotions can trump facts by themself but to say emotions have no role is not something I can agree with.

I am old enough to remember the no abortion days and it was a lot like prohibition. It did not work and more people died because of it. I do not have a womb so I feel as a moderate it is not my issue. I am neither pro abortion or anti abortion but when I point this out I am laced the opposite of the other persons beliefs and it degrades to name calling. Hard to have a real discussion as both sides seem so entrenched in a topic that affects few actual voters.
How many babies are aborted vs say how many are killed by distracted driving, booze, drugs, and other poor life decisions?
How many voters take this single issue yet will not attend a school meeting to discuss how kids get educated or how tax money gets spent.
Humans pick the oddest fight to get polarized over.
