He isn't getting acquitted on appeal. As I've said from the start there is no one willing to risk their safety for this guy.
And I hope every major city cop walks off the job and gives these lunatics the lord of the flies world they seem to want. And I hope the major media outlets are the first the reap the fruit of what they've sown.

For all three charges, prosecutors had to prove that Chauvin caused Floyd's death and that his use of force was unreasonable. Prosecutors didn't have to prove Chauvin's restraint was the sole cause of Floyd's death, but only that his conduct was a "substantial causal factor." Chauvin is authorized to use force as a police officer, as long as that force is reasonable. To convict on any of these counts, jurors must find that Chauvin used a level of force that would be considered unreasonable to an objective officer in his position. Hindsight can't be a factor. The charges differ when it comes to Chauvin's state of mind - with second-degree murder requiring some level of intent - not an intent to kill but that Chauvin intended to apply unlawful force to Floyd - all the way down to manslaughter, which requires proof of culpable negligence.
None of the charges require intent to prove.

You may very well be right.

They found guilty of intentional AND unintentional murder right? Is that how their law reads?
That's how I understood though I'm sure I'm off there, can anyone explain?
I thought the 2nd degree murder charge was basically intentional murder, but the manslaughter was unintentional. Is that not the case?
Every state has their own definition. For this case:
2nd Degree Murder - caused death w/o intent during a felony
3rd Degree Murder - caused death w/o intent while "committing an act that is eminently dangerous to other persons while exhibiting a depraved mind, with reckless disregard for human life"
2nd Degree Manslaughter - Negligence where a person creates an unreasonable risk and consciously takes the chance of causing death or great bodily harm to someone else

The judge literally read out the charge as unintentional 2nd degree murder.

Easy out for the jury and this will be overturned on appeal.
It's all just a fricking show.
Safest verdict. allows the jury to run for the hills ....We'll see what happens on appeal and sentencing.
Regardless of Judge Jeannine's thoughts.. this gets ruled a mistrial and the appeal succeeds. I don't think it changes an ultimate outcome in a year ...but at least everyone gets to calm down or stage the next trial over the ashes over what remains of Minneapolis.
One thing possibly positive tonight .....They stroll home and don't burn the cities to the ground tonight.

What felony are they saying was committed? Honest question.

I think It sounds like what Louisiana criminal
Law would refer to as felony murder. Caused someone’s death while committing a felony.
Regardless- i will Have to go back and review bc I have no idea what evidence was actually presented that any action of Chauvin actually caused Floyd’s death

Seems y’all don’t want to hear this but...
Both parties in this case were kind of pieces of shits.
One lost their life and the other will be locked up for a long time.

I told my wife this exact same thing. The choice for the jury was simple: it's either HIM or ME. There was no other alternative.
