A lot of ppl considered the shot on trump a "long shot" when anyone with any rifle experience will tell you it's a pretty easy, short shot
I think we all get that, but when this thread broke (pre-video), I had an assumption it was one of the people who were engaging with him, or someone in the crowd, used a a handgun. "Distance" is used to distinguish from those scenarios, I reckon.

Incorrect. Security has no capability to determine how critically injured he is. That is for the medical professionals. Job of Security is to remove him from the area so he can get professional medical help. Security did what they are supposed to do but means nothing in regards to how critically he was injured
