Really interesting post. What are some common traits for each group?

well, apparently guys, we can't have anymore discussion, even if it is mostly civil... or at least that's what i'm being told, so i guess all i can say is RIP Charlie Kirk... you shouldn't have died for political beliefs and it's a sad day in America

No. You came to say “both sides” 80 times and posture your moral superiority. Get to stepping.

All the man ever did was talk to people

That’s it

I didn’t agree with everything he believed- but all he ever did was talk to people.

Your post was to me, so I guess I’ll assume the comment was too. I was not in any way uncivil, but asked a question to try to clarify what I thought you were saying and respond to it.

i'm sorry you feel that way... i really am... i wish i could discuss it further with you, perhaps we could find some sort of common ground, b/c i'm sure you are IRL a nice guy, good person, etc, and i'm sure we could end up having a good discussion, but apparently this specific thread is not the venue for it...

MSNBC: It just might be one of his supporters firing one off in celebration.

That would be about 9,999 on a list of 10,000 possible explanations. I'd put a random meteor strike above it.

It's *almost* unbelievable that those words could come out of the mouth of someone who actually has a voice on a media outlet. The fact that it actually was said, has me... sad. Sad and mad.

There needs to be some sort of repercussions over firings and fake apologies. These people need to be held accountable for their words.

If you are really going to abide by this, I’d suggest starting a new thread to have a genuine discussion of any issues on your mind. I’d be happy to join you there.

No, we can’t. That’s all Charlie Kirk ever did and look where that got him. It’s time for conservatives to fight back.

Today has made me sad and angry.

I'm sad because we've lost all humanity as a nation. I don't understand how one can listen or view Charlie Kirk and say that he spread hate speech. He simply spoke for what he believed. We can all wish to achieve that level of confidence and faith in one's self and belief.

I'm angry because the way the world is reacting. Social media is now a scourge on humanity and needs to go. I'm seriously considering deleting every social media app I have. It's made us worse as humans. Only the worst parts of our lives are broadcast and anything good is ripped apart and mocked.

The world lost something good today. RIP Charlie.

Out of curiosity a question - what is a conservative position you hold socially?

He was such a powerful young conservative voice with a huge younger generation of followers that was gonna be a future President if he wanted that path. The left knew this and eliminated him before he was old enough to potentially run for President. Such a sad day and all libs who downvote kindly GFY

Aw man thats a great question.

Wish I would have thought of that

Another way to put it is asking him to weight his relative importance of social issues vs fiscal issues.

Generally his types place more value on the social issues than the fiscal issues
