How many are homicides and how many are suicides?

How many happen in the states that already have all the gun control measures instituted at the state level that they want to illegally institute on the federal level?

Here’s your original claim.

quote:

~ 90% of those deaths are murders in the 15 - 19 age group, and ~ 8% are suicides in the same age group.

Then from your link:
quote:

Overall, ~60% of youth deaths from firearm injuries are homicides, 35% are suicides, and 4% are unintentional firearm deaths.

For the specific 15-19 age range, the data is 64% homicides and 33% suicide.

This graphic isn’t from the article you linked, it wouldn’t let me post their graph as a pic for some reason. But the supplemental material in the research letter you linked LINK shows basically the same as the graph above. Gun deaths did increase for all children and adolescents; the bulk of that increase is reflected in one demographic.

Did I hear that right? No way that's correct. He say guns kill more kids than car accidents and cancer?

With all the inner city drug and gang violence, I don’t think it’s that hard to believe.

Despite what the left wants you to think, black on black gun violence are far far more common than mass school shootings.

Reminds me what an old professor told me once.

And the stats they use for that stupid quote is for ages 1-19.

in other words maybe over 2/3 the violent deaths in DEM shithole cities are 16-19

Guns became the leading cause of death among children and teens in 2020, killing more people ages 1 to 19 in the U.S. than vehicle crashes, drugs overdoses or cancer.

More than 4,300 died of firearm-related injuries that year — a 29 percent increase from 2019 — according to a research letter published Wednesday in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Yeah, I'd have to see that broken down into further sub groups of age. I'd bet that the 17 through 19 year old gang bangers are easily the vast majority of deaths. Just another way to twist facts to support a leftist cause.

Are blacks the only race to be pardoned of all sin and the fault is always some one else or some thing else faulted?

That is what I get from this article.

Meanwhile abortion keeps chugging along.

Interesting that they stopped it at age 19.

The 2nd doesn’t say “…unless guns kill more kids than car wrecks or cancer”. Not last time I checked anyway.

Who gives a shite if it’s factual…it doesn’t matter.

Shall. Not. Be. Infringed.
