Reference the specific piece of legislation if you could.

Direct to Consumer advertising was regulated by the FDA and not allowed until the 80s. 1983 I believe. They could always advertise directly to doctors which they did. But ads like you see on TV didn't show up until the FDA relax the regulations in 1983 and then eventually removed them in 1987.

No such legislation exists, as far as I can tell.

When I was a kid way before this huge increase in the number of vaccines that are now required, I could not point t to a single kid I knew that was autistic.

Now, I know of plenty that are.

These kids are just a little weird, they’re off. Some have a hard time communicating.

It absolutely is real. You must live in a box to not see it.

Ok now do all the other difference from when you were a kid to now. Since we want to be scientific let's not rule out things like flat screens. Most kids today grow up in a house with flat screens, they didn't when you were a kid. Maybe flat screens cause autism?

How about sugar replacements, there were previously less now a lot more in beverages. Maybe those cause autism?

Perhaps it was replacing glas jars with plastic pouches for baby food....

There's equal evidence of these claims as there is vaccines being the problem...

My daughter just got out of the hospital today. The refused to give here the medicine that works when she is admitted in the past. We are talking over 100 trips to the emergency room.

Had similar experiences. Out of curiosity, what is the medicine that works?

I agree, but that doesn't mean there aren't incentives (financial and otherwise) for inflating the numbers. Both things can be true.

Go back and edit your previous post to “no double-blind studies that meet a bad faith standard no one in medical research uses but antivaxers use to fly speck in bad faith”.

If schools deem a person is "in the spectrum" do they get extra funding? Does the parent? do they get meds to zombie a normal hyperactive kid who has been fed sugar and chips galore?

Yes.

Yes.

Yes.

Even if I am pro vaccine (generally) and am skeptical about a correlation between vaccines and autism (I am), that doesn't mean that these things are a no risk, no negative proposition.

In early 2000's we fought the school ( they were relentless ) over ADD/ADHD on my son.
They had to provide a professional diagnosis over a 1 year period.
The professional said no - he's normal.
The school continued to push for him to be on medicines.
We pulled him out to homeschool him and later learned that they would receive extra funding for every child diagnosed as ADD/ADHD.
There's no chemo-biological evidence of ADD/ADHD.

It's a money maker, and they will fight to the death to keep it.

This is all completely legit. The ADHD thing is totally overblown and a complete scam.

At the time someone did a survey and our parish had more than 80% of children on medicine.

Sad.

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. There are some really sharp posters on this board. But my God, the vast majority are complete and utter idiots when it comes to anything remotely related to medicine/science. It’s embarrassing but also quite the confidence boost

HEADS NEED TO ROLL!

Back when I coached football, I was a special needs teacher and taught an “Autism and other various disability” class.

And if my actual kid had the autism I dealt with, it would be hard for me not to be scheming to take some people out covertly to maximize my body count.

It’s a life sentence, it breaks up families etc…

I don’t get it, if Trump is taking on the machine.

Bring that HAMMER AND DESTROY BIG PHARMA, lock up the Rockefellers just because they are the root cause of the poison.

AND ABOLISH THE FED.

If we can destroy both of these cancers to the USA, that’s when I will give full props to DJT.

Until then, I the some good stuff going on, but we need to see perp walks.

In the actual studies, there was no increase. Why didn't you keep reading

SFP, bc they are’t smart enough to understand what they’re reading. Or if I’m being overly nice…maybe they don’t have access to the full text articles to come up with their own opinions.

So they simply blindly believe whatever their social medial algorithm feeds them. “Simpleton” is understating it.

Someone who is too emotional to think logically = Simpleton in my book…

I don't want to get into her medical situation to much on the internet. If it were me. I don't care. But don't want to say to much about someone elses medical problems.

All this talk of autism.

We now have a "spectrum" of autism.

We now have autism everywhere.

A great deal of that is almost certainly an increase in diagnosis. You're more likely to find things when you're actively looking for them.
