Anything we say is designed to demoralize the Russians and prop up the Ukrainians.

As a friend noted, none of the videos or photos show high intensity combat. And force concentrations are very low.

I don’t believe those figures.

The US has been consistently well below the Ukraine estimates, for whatever it's worth. It's not like the Pentagon is running with the highest estimates out there - quite the contrary.

Since I’m assuming they’re using the rule of 3s

I've heard enough stories from US servicemen who were in Iraq saying the Russians were doing some goofy-arse things and undisciplined.

I didn't say I believed them. But I do hope that they are accurate.

I’m not rooting for Russia but ignoring that Ukraine is a corrupt money laundering country for our corrupt politicians is kinda hard to do.

I just don’t see how anything the Biden admin or our media says can be trusted. I mean they are blaming gas prices on Russia when we all saw it going up before

Two things can be true at the same time:

1) Ukraine can be a corrupt nation

and

2) Russia violated the 1994 Memorandum of Security Assurances that they themselves signed which assured Ukraine of its sovereignty and security if they gave up their nukes

That's just in the first two weeks of the conflict. For context, in the three weeks it took us to take Baghdad in 2003, we lost 139 killed and 551 wounded.

How long did the US soften up the Iraqi forces and infrastructure prior to launching the ground campaign?

How many years of sanctions and arms embargoes did Ukraine suffer from prior to the unlawful invasion by Russia?

They are not apples to apples comparisons.

You lap up the propaganda...with a smile.

This is absolutely true.

The propaganda and misinformation is being pumped out by both sides and at a staggering pace. All I know for sure is people are dying and Ukraine is slowly but surely losing territory.

You left out one:

3) Our nation’s wholly corrupted national security apparatus funded bioweapons lab — er “biological research facilities” — in the Ukraine.

I follow some of the combat footage forums/threads and while I do think Russia is taking some losses, there is no way they have been able to clean up that amount of bodies.

Not that long actually. Back during the Gulf War in 1991, we spent 42 consecutive days and nights softening up Iraqi air and ground defenses before ground forces began entering Iraq/Kuwait.

In 2003, we invaded on the same day hostilities began (March 20).

Well, they had to give up their nuclear arsenal in 1994, lost the Crimean Peninsula to a Russian invasion in 2014, and had been dealing with a Russian-backed insurgency in the eastern provinces since about 2015 or so.

You're right. Our military commanders showed a certain degree of competence when they planned out the invasion of Iraq in 2003. If Operation Iraqi Freedom was Leonardo Da Vinci's "The Last Supper," this Russian incursion into Ukraine is more akin to a finger painting by comparison.

CBS is a very trustworthy source. They would never make something up to push a narrative.
