Why is the FCC investigating the editing of a TV program? Seriously wtf
Who should be doing the investigating instead?
Misleading edited propaganda done on behalf of a presidential candidate is a major deal.

Do you have a problem when your preferred news outlets edit interviews?

Every news org that airs an edited interview should be investigated. Yes, this makes complete sense.
Are you that fricking delusional you can't see why editing an interview to make a candidate look fmore favorable over another is not something that shold be investigated?

When do the Fox News investigations begin?

The media outlet argued Monday in its request that such a probe makes the federal government a "roving censor” in violation of the First Amendment.

Sure. Why wouldn't I? Propaganda is propaganda, the sides don't matter. Reasonable people dislike being misled as much by a 'friend' as a 'foe'. Perhaps even moreso.
Might be why Joe Rogan is popular... long interviews, no guardrails, no edits. People respond to and respect that.

the answer is no one.
CBS can do that legally.
CBS can do that legally.

To edit for content or time, like eliminating some questions due to boring subject matter or time constraints, of course not. I'm sure that's done a lot. But if they get caught editing in a way to intentionally make a person look good or bad, you're damn right I do. And they got caught. They asked a question, snipped out her actual answer, and clipped in a more coherent answer to a different question. Yeah, I have a problem with that. And you should too.

You know who else edited news programs? That’s right, Adolph Hitler

You are completely ignoring that they did it in order to cover up the fact that she’s an incompetent, rambling moron. There is no other reason that they edited the interview to cut out the parts that they did.
I would say that I’m sure you know this but for all I know you might think she’s actually competent and smart.

New York (CNN) — The Fox News Channel’s recent segment about Donald Trump’s “surprise” visit to a barbershop in the Bronx resembled a campaign ad for the former president’s reelection.
Trump was seen taking questions and making small talk with Black and Hispanic barbershop customers and workers, some of whom were wearing “Make Barbers Great Again” shirts. The visit was part of “Fox & Friends” co-host Lawrence Jones’ ongoing barbershop interview series.
But the version of the visit shown on television was, to borrow a hairstyle metaphor, a crop cut. Fox edited out many of Trump’s rambling comments and false claims. Participants had to repeatedly follow up when Trump meandered away from the original point of their questions.
quote:
Fox’s edits omitted numerous Trump tangents and exaggerations – a striking decision given Trump’s recent attacks on CBS newsmagazine “60 Minutes” for editing an interview with his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, earlier this month.
quote:
Ironically, however, Fox edited several of Trump’s recent appearances on the network, including his visit to the barbershop. And some of the edits certainly make him look better.
The televised broadcast omitted Trump’s comments about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio. He told the barbershop customers that “they just dumped 50,000 people — 32,000 migrants from another country — in Springfield, Ohio. They don’t know what to do.” The actual number of migrants in Springfield is far lower, according to the city’s own data. The broadcast also left out Trump’s gross exaggerations about crime in Aurora, Colorado.
One of the most telling parts of the dialogue began when an audience member asked Trump about finding a way to eliminate federal taxes in the future. On Fox, Trump was shown immediately answering affirmatively: “There is a way.”
But that response from Trump actually came more than seven minutes later, after Trump (and Jones) brought up other topics, including inheritances, the Keystone Pipeline, Ronald Reagan, Russia, and transgender sports players. Trump had to be nudged back on track several times by the unnamed audience member, who kept circling back, apologetically, and said “I wasn’t able to finish my question.” After he repeated his tax inquiry yet again, Trump said “there is a way.”
But on Fox, it was stitched together as one seamless back-and-forth.

Leftist: That huge conglomerate of a single guy on Twitter kept posting fake and satire campaign posters that gave a misleading campaign message of Hillary Clinton. Put him in jail!!! Rawr!
Also leftist: 60 minutes merely edited the rambling of words of the Presidential candidate and presented it is her authentic answer merely to correct her answer to fit her campaign message, even though her answer was totally not coherent. What’s the big deal that they were simply meddling in the election to sway voters? Leave poor little ole 60 Minutes alone you big meanies!

If they edit an interview to influence the outcome of an election it makes complete sense.
Posted on 3/13/25 at 9:58 am to Major Dutch Schaefer
Publicly subsidized broadcasts have a duty to be impartial. They violated that, pure and simple.
